Same thing happened with Allardyce after he left Palace. It'll still likely be McInnes.

Sky Sources saying Sunderland have made no approach/contact with Giggs. Although Sky Sports sources are horse shit. Nice to see an ex top player, starting at a crap club.

They haven't got much of a budget at Aberdeen so this probably speaks volumes to just how poverty striken the mackams actually are.

The likely scenario is this takeover that's imminent is putting managers off.

It is worrying in all seriousness, I don't know why the club are agreeing compensation packages when new owners are looking to take over. Of course managers are going to be sceptical, they could be sacked soon after the takeover!...Well, a few months earlier than they would normally.

I suppose they need to have a plan B in case the new owners drop out, looking at the managers available I'd go for Pardew or Big Sam but I think I read Simon Grayson and Nigel Clough were the other guys interviewed which don't exactly scream you're going all out to come straight back up. Bog standard championship players are going for over £8m nowadays so I can see the Pickford money being gone on 2-3 players, don't know what you have coming through but I reckon you need at least 2 more strikers, I like Whatmore but can't see Borini staying not that I think the championship would suit him and I wouldn't want Anchibe as first choice striker, how do you reckon you'll go ?

The latest is that the due diligence for this German consortium is to be completed by Friday. Ellis Short has given them a deadline (not sure when) to finalise the deal or it is off. Recently another consortium has shown interest fronted by Sunderland fans, how much money they have though I am not sure. Not many up here are expecting us to come straight back up, we're prepared for a long hard slog in the championship like Boro have had to endure. In terms of managers, since McInnes knocked us back it has been put on hold. I'd love Big Sam back but it won't happen, then again I suppose it depends on the amount of money the owners make available... The poor thing is most of the Pickford money is being used to clear the debt and not for reinvestment for players. Our budget for the season will apparently be between 15m - 20m. A few years ago and that would have been superb in the championship but nowadays with only half a squad, it's dire. Oh, and Watmore is still recovering from a serious injury so his main asset (pace) will likely be affected. Decent odds to be relegated, that's all I'll say. We are fucked.

We'll see! How's Bojan doing? Tony Adams linked with the job? Apparently involved with an interested party to buy out Short, not linked with the manager's job though. It'll be ze Germans.
