Hopefully there will not be a similar situation on the last day, when we need the capped one to beat Hull to save our bacon...Just hope it's done by then... It's done my friend 36 points is safe this season Keep the fiddle oiled Nero

Irrespective of our league position any defeat for Arsenal makes me happy. Come on Palace let's have an unsoiled sheet now.

Am I the only one who finds this "hatred" all a bit cringeworthy?
Yes he is a twat.
Yes their fans are completely deluded.
And I do enjoy the pantomime game we get once a season but when it comes to Arsenal playing any team who I would deem to be around us I hope they absolutely ruin them.
How anyone can want a Palace win tonight is absolutely beyond me given our current state of affairs!

Hull will be on 40 by then it's Swansea we need him to beat and there is no chance he'd oblige if that's how it turns out . how much have you put on for us to be relegated benji? i will laugh till i piss myself when you get your fingers burned. haha

I'd counter that by saying the people defending the current garbage aren't paying to watch it. There was a lot of discontent amongst the travelling fans at Burnley last week at full time.

As poor as Arsenal are tonight you have to say that Allardyce has transformed Palace on this showing tonight

Had a bet with an arsenal fan, arsenal not to finish in the top 4. Seems I maybe on to a winner.
As much as we needed them beat palace I can't help but laugh at the state of them. Becoming a joke of a club and I love that!!

Barring a miraculous Arsenal comeback, Palace are two points behind us with a much better goal difference, and (more importantly) a game in hand.
I'm starting to get nervous now. I don't think we'll actually go down, but the Hull and Swansea games are, all of a sudden, very important fixtures.

Following this eve's result, there is only some amount of daylight between us and Hull-Swansea
If God forbid we lose at home against Hull it will be a battle with swansea to avoid the last relegation spot
Admittedly 8 points do represent quite a cushion but we are in a horrible run of form whilst others around us such as leicester and palace are in the ascendancy Its our worst season in quite some time, Hughes is clueless and has definitely lost the plot and i'm totally convincef that he'll be gone in the summer

We are in trouble if Palace win tonight and Hull beat us, the fans will turn. If by "turn" you mean that they will have had enough of Hughes then I have to say that a number of us have already - I agree though that if we don't get the 3 points on Saturday it may well become vocal. Although mathematically possible, I don't think we are in realistic danger of the drop but I am sure as hell at the end of the Hughes tether and would not trust him with another penny - a decent enough chap but has seriously lost his way this last season and a half....

Does anybody seriously think we're going to end this season with ten straight defeats to our name?

No But i can see all other teams bar swansea finishing above us Meaning that we won't go down but still it wpuld be a disastrous season with Hughes deserving to be hung, drawn and quartered
