Good move by trump, should never have employed him. That's 4 he's said "You're fired" to in as many years. Not a man to waste time deliberating

Everywhere he goes there's scandal. His whole life has been surrounded by scandal. He is obsessed with gold, its quite a big clue. I keep thinking he’s going to trip himself up. But so far - I’ve been way off the mark. I bet he has ruined a lot of lives along the way.

Not a man to waste time deliberating I could never really understand why he hired Bolton, Trump ran on a platform of getting out of regime change wars (although he blustered on Iran) Bolton is all about intervention, it was only a matter of time before he got the boot. Quite surprised to hear Bolton had major disagreements with Mike Pompeo though, I always had him down as being only slightly less hawkish than Bolton.

It’s strange, in a way, that Trump’s critics don’t praise his approach to war - meaning he is massively opposed to them. Well those involving US troops leastways. Which, as all good lefties will tell you is the main cause of war in the first place. As you say, getting shot of Bolton was inevitable for the reasons given. The problem for Trump is he kept him too long to allow him to get US troops out of Afghanistan during his term of office. It adds up to a whole load of fails on what he said he would do while in office. He is beginning to look all mouth and no trousers. If the Democrats find a half decent candidate they should win the next election comfortably. If they don’t, get ready for 4 more years of Trumpisms!

Trumps opponents will not allow themselves to praise him, they automatically set themselves on the opposite side of everything trump does IE if Obama had held talks with Kim Jong Un they probably would have praised him for averting possible war, but trump is “legitimising a dictator” ... no doubt there are things to criticize trump on but his opponents are just knee jerk against everything he does. I don’t know what he’s waiting for on Afghanistan, sooner or later the US will pull out and the taliban, in one form or another, will return, in fact they already are back in power In some regions. I think the only way he loses 2020 is if there’s a recession, which isn’t out of the question, I don’t think the democrats have a candidate capable of beating him otherwise.

I can't see what there is to praise Trump for, the world seems a more dangerous place now and no matter what shit goes on Trump turns a blind eye. He is the cause of some of it too, China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Israel to name a few have a free reign to do what they want whilst he pretends to be bothered and often he makes a joke of it instead. Another term could be very damaging.

I don’t think he’s turning a blind eye per-se, he campaigned on America first and not being the worlds policeman, that’s what he got elected on, it’s what’s Americans want, they don’t want more conflict and he hasn’t started any new wars yet unlike all his predecessors, I’d praise him for that. He tore up the Iran deal which imo was a bad move but he’s open to talks with them on a new one, he said he’d meet without preconditions as well, which is likely where the disagreements with Bolton came. Not sure what he’s supposed to do about Russia and China ? Start a nuclear war ?

Not sure what he’s supposed to do about Russia and China ? Start a nuclear war ? He lost the popular vote so to say they don't want to be the world policeman doesn't hold up. Some may want America 1st others just wouldn't want Hillary. He won a race between 2 shit options, hopefully he gets voted out in the next election. Having seen much more of him over the last few years, i would say he admires Putin as a dictator but feels threatened by China as realistically they are the only country who could probably challenge America in the future and become top dogs. He wants the role as the big dog but not the responsibility. He try's to bully his countries friends and rolls out the red carpet for dictators, he is a disgusting human being. Securing a second term will determine if the people like him or whether they have had enough. There is only so many times you can cry fake news before the people call bullshit. He won't be up against crooked Hillary either, has he actually pinned anything on her yet?

I think he’s just being pragmatic in the same way Nixon went to China, Reagan had dialogue with the Soviets, FDR met with Stalin, I think he’s reasoned that being antagonistic with some of these nations changes nothing, IE he could carry on the status quo with North Korea but what would be accomplished ? Nothing! Why not try dialogue ? Btw I’m glad he’s not at odds with Russia, Russia/US relations are still the most important of all due to them both having tactical nuclear weapons pointed at each other, we need them to get along!

Anyone been following this Ukraine stuff ? Ive stopped following the US political circus lately and not sure whats going on, it seems as soon as one "scandal" disappears another one pops up to replace it, is there actually anything in this one or is it another hyped up hatchet job by the democrats ?

Same as our Russian scandal. If there was anything in it they would have leaked it by know. It’s probably more damaging to Joe Biden

Withholding 400 mill in aid, including 210 javelin missile batteries that protect a border with Russia, in order to bribe a foreign government to get dirt on a political opponent. Yeah, there's nothing "in it"
And the "Russian Scandal" as you put it led to 34 convictions. I guess there was nothing there either though. Actually make that 35, add Roger Stone.

He'll get impeached by the house but it won't matter because the senate will never remove him. The hearings are just a tool to show a scumbag doing scumbag things.
