Young man experiments with recreational drugs. In more news - you'll never guess what bears do in the woods. As long as he grows up and moves on can't see there's a problem. He's a premier league footballer, it's a massive problem. If he has left that all behind and he gets his head down and bangs goals in for us then we as football fans won't give a fuck about his past indulgences, but ask West Brom fans what their opinion is of a player who did this while he was employed by them and I suspect their attitude will be totally different. What's happened sid, you're on a real downer at the minute?

Ha ha, nowt really mate but I've lost a lot of faith in our manager over the last 6 months or so and this signing worries me because I think it could be make or break for Hughes, well at least as far as I'm concerned anyway.

Ah the drug brothers, one who's definitely been at it, one who looks like he's been at it, but probably hasn't. One who should try it, you never know Wilfred it might improve things and another whose manager is definitely on it as they think you're a right back.

I'm old school and I was hoping for great things from this man but sorry straight away get rid,to pay for someone who as knowing taken drugs brings my club down.im a supporter of Stoke City not a player who may be gone next year if he feels like it. Questions have to be asked about a manager who brings in a player knowing he has soon this

Have to wonder now how many other players at Stoke have had bans for recreational drugs we've never found about and then just "got injured"
He wasn't the first and won't be the last

TP was the best manager Stoke ever had since Waddo. Got us into the Prem, established us there, got us to our first ever FA Cup final and made some very shrewd signings. Some of which are still doin the biz even now well into their 30's. What an ungrateful lot you are ! Aye , he was a great fit for us at the time , and agreed it's to him we must thank for where we are right now . So thank you Tony . He's also done loads of really wonderful work for local charities . Again hats off Tony . That said , he's a devious and devisive bastard that seems really bitter about his divorce from stoke . As someone said , he's like a really bitter ex boyfriend that can't help but meddle into our affairs and get the upper hand. So credit where it's due , and now he can just fuck off as far as I'm concerned . I can't wait until he gets relegated . I'd also argue that Macari was at least as good , if not better . And he had no money to spend ! I spoke to lou on a train from manchester to stoke on a friday night once after work about 10 years ago.I'd started drunkenly singing ' skip to my lou' and he invited me to sit with him. He asked me if I was happy with pulis. I said he had a plan and knew how to grind out results but it was clear to anyone the man is too unlikable and the style of football shit. I also gave Lou my opinion that he would have taken us to the premier league a long time before even without the backing pulis got, if he had just not had his best player sold from under him in the promotion run in. Lou refused to comment and changed the subject. He's a class act

The drugs test fail story has been known for a while, it seems. The Telegraph says, 'West Brom denied the allegations when asked by Telegraph Sport last month.' www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/02/03/mark-hughes-confirms-stoke-knew-new-signing-saido-berahino-served/If The Telegraph knew, then other news organisations may have known too. Technically speaking, the story was 'stood up', because some confirming proof dropped into place and so the story was was verified. If, say, the Telegraph put the allegations to West Brom and was rebuffed last month, then they or someone else has since gotten a valid source or sources to confirm the rumour. Yep, have had a trawl and the above Torygraph article references a Daily Mail story as their source and the Mail story of 24 hours ago says Sports Mail broke the news. The Mail say they were onto both clubs and The FA yesterday and so must have been able to stand the story up, though they don't reveal the source. The link below is to the original Mail story but, as is the norm, it has been updated. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-4185496/Saido-Berahino-drug-shock-FA-banned-failed-test.htmlThe story originally leaked or was leaked from somewhere and yesterday it could have been confirmed by the same or different sources. Ergo, those who blame The Capped One won't be put off and indeed he's been under constant pressure to give more detail on Berahino's fitness problems, not that I'm saying he leaked the story. Although, with the story already having been leaked though unverified, that means that things changed after the transfer between the to clubs went through and so a journalist could have pressed both clubs to reveal whether any failed drugs test was in the due diligence paperwork, which it would. You have to congratulate The Hate Mail for getting the story to press when it was at its hottest. Berahino looks like being on the bench anyway and only getting on depending on how the game goes. As for who leaked the story and who, or how many confirmed, we just don't know.

Never met him personally like yourself Glasgow , but he always seems to have a happy go lucky lilt and a warm smiley almost jovial personality. And he comes across brilliantly in "Marvelous ". His team with steino , Bertie Biggins and gleggy and Overson and cranny etc was fantastic and although we were in the lower leagues in those days was maybe my favourite time watching us.

More classic Oatcake logic and displacement at work. Our new signing takes a banned substance most likely recreational drugs, the response? Pulis is a cunt! Don't forget prior to him signing it was TP's spiteful nature that held up any deal. Now for FFS he's responsible for covering up an FA ban and leaking a news report to vilify a player. Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow because guess what? Yes yore right there be a TP weather conspiracy post

How did TP hold up any deal? It was the old owner Jeremy Peace that first refused to sell Berahino. The off the field problems started before TP was even hired.

I wish he'd put a sock in it. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tony-pulis-says-saido-berahino-9753279“He should be really grateful because I have been at other clubs where the kid could easily have been thrown under the bus.
“But it shows the depth and quality of the people in this football club that they’ve tried to protect one of their own. They’ve done the decent thing, this football club.
“This club has been absolutely fantastic towards Saido with the way it’s protected him, the way it’s looked after him and the way it’s tried to protect him from everything in any way, shape and form.
“This club has looked after its players and Saido more than most. Unfortunately sometimes you look back and think: ‘was it worth it?’ But everyone makes mistakes in life.”
