Just shows how transient and casual the English approach to managing is. 14 months ago Pardew was a shoo in for the England job. 8 months before that Garry Monk was mentioned. For me it just shows how stupid the press and the people who take their word are. Pardew has always been a very average manager. He's had spells where he's looked really good and had spells where he's looked like the worse manager in the world. Monk was and is an unproven pile of shit (for now).

Stoke stats are totally distorted by the injuries suffered. Statistics tell us Arsenal were "Champions" in 2015 by a clear 9 points. The reality is Arsenal weren't. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/jahrestabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2015# Club(s) Matches W D L Goals +/- Pts 1 Arsenal 38 25 6 7 70:31 39 81 2 Manchester City38 22 6 10 79:41 38 72 3 Tottenham 38 19 11 8 67:44 23 68 4 Leicester City 38 19 10 9 66:49 17 67 5 Manchester Utd38 18 10 10 51:34 17 64 6 Liverpool 38 18 10 10 48:45 3 64 7 Crystal Palace 38 19 6 13 50:37 13 63 8 Chelsea 38 17 10 11 55:47 8 61 9 Stoke City 38 16 10 12 47:41 6 58

Doubt he's giving Parrish the thumbs up now!!! Shitty time of the year for anyone to lose their job It's not like he's been laid off and thrown on the scrapheap though is it...All it means is a nice peacefull Christmas, with his multi million pound pay of, and I bet he's got millions stashed away anyway, and now he will be waiting for the next job to come up, whilst in the mean time doing a bit of punditing and writing a column in the Sun...So no...Not a shitty time at all...

Our manager now is Gareth Southgate, a man who's only other managerial experience was relegating Middlesbrough. The job really is a joke

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't like Pardew and that dance was cringe inducing but for anyone, regardless of financial circumstances (and we don't know what his finances are like) it's a terrible time to do lose your job.

Must admit Pardew is difficult to take to and I wouldnotgloat about anyone losing their job but this has been coming for weeks regardless of results. A few weeks ago when they won for the first time in a while his after match interview was an open invite when he explained his thumbs up gesture to the chairman but went on to mention the clubs american investors who knew nothing about football. Not the wisest move when they had invested $50 million in the club just before his spending spree in the summer.

Something about him that I don't like! Can't put my finger on it! Would not trust him as far as I could throw him, and that obviously is not very far!

Looking at the whole picture I wonder if they had to sack him. Similarly WBA acted too hastily in sacking Irvine. They are in trouble but the situation is far from irretrievable.

When they stay up I'm sure Sam will claim he has pulled off some great diving save. But honestly they are only 6 points or 2 wins behind us, looking at out next 2 fixtures they could be above us in the next week, before December is out in fact

Allardyce will get lauded BUT make a note they aren't in the bottom three. Same as last season when he arrived at Sunderland in October, got them out of the bottom three in April and was proclaimed as a messiah

Think Palace would have beat Watford with Pardew still there.
If they do win Sam will get all the praise and done little to earn it.

It's too garbled to comprehend Joe...I am actually quite good at deciphering BB's posts and this is what he said.. Crystal Palace have a lawnmower advantage over us in all swimming pools, and will surely finish in the top tomato where we will houseplant to finish in the bottom sprinkler.
