But don't you all over there use beans that are savory as opposed to our sugared up beans we have over here? The Bush beans in the video are basically brown sugar and beans.

Takes a few minutes before they actually start playing, but it's surprisingly entertaining

Been watching a few of this fella's videos recently, he's currently doing a tour of 9 states in 9 days, it's not the usual shit of big cities & well known landmarks though, he's instead going down all the back roads & through the small forgotten towns. He spends a couple of minutes in each showing a few things of interest before moving on to the next town - or whatever he finds inbetween towns. I've been really enjoying watching them though, would love to do something like this myself one day.
This is day 5 in Arkansas.

I've had this video sitting in my 'recommended' for some time now, finally decided to give it a watch... So glad I did!
There are more parts, I didn't want to add loads of videos to the post.

I'm going to be a saddo & bump my own post but having now watched all 5 episodes I seriously, seriously recommend anyone reading this thread takes the time to watch the above series. There are 5 videos in total, all just over 30 minutes long, but I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. The story is that a bloke is going to walk across Wales in a straight line - I know, I know, it sounds boring as hell, but please trust me that you will get hooked on it. The first 'major obstacle' comes barely a few minutes into the first video & it just gets better & better as it goes on. Some of the stuff he puts himself through is mental... Just give it a watch, you wont be disappointed.

I'll have a look later

I got up to the point where he debated crossing the river and then didn't (having already deviated from the straight course moments before), so I stopped watching. Either he's dedicated to performing the challenge correctly or not.

Either he's dedicated to performing the challenge correctly or not. It's a shame you had such an outlook on it. Seeing as you gave up I'm sure you wont mind me chucking a spoiler in... A couple of miles further on he encouters an expanse of water, it was only about 30 metres or so wide, but unlike the river it was dead calm. He got striped off & dived in & within seconds he was in trouble as he cramped up due to how cold the water was, luckily he had his backpack to cling onto & keep himself afloat. Now just imagine if he had jumped in that river, freezing cold water, a swollow river with a raging current, and he openly admited he wasn't the strongest swimmer. His life would have been in genuine danger had he gone for it. He's not some trained SAS recruit, he's just a normal bloke doing it in honor of his mate who got murdered, I don't think putting his own life in genuine danger was really worth it. ... Although saying that where he does chose to cross the river is equally as stupid, and there are a few more times later into the series where he could have been in major, major trouble had he taken a wrong step. It's a shame you gave up on it as you missed out on a great little series. Mind you, you'd have been gutted towards the end when he's in Snowdonia & it's foggy with gale force winds & he refuses to just leap off a cliff face & instead deviated a few metres around it.

^ I guess what I'm saying is, had he prepared/trained better, I would have stuck with it--I was expecting fording, climbing, repelling, etc. in his effort to maintain the straight line course he set out on. He basically ditched the straight line requirement when he hit the first river crossing at what, an hour or so into his journey?

He basically ditched the straight line requirement when he hit the first river crossing at what, an hour or so into his journey? I get your point mate, but I can only stress again that this was just a normal bloke doing it, he wasn't some expert with years of training. There was plenty of stuff later on where he's crossing much smaller rivers, going up & down valleys, climbing over brambles & through dense woods etc... And to repeat myself, having seen how he struggled in an expanse of water a few miles further down the line I'm glad he didn't attempt the river crossing 'cos I'd have never found his series if he had 'cos he'd highly likely be dead. If you're after some super serious, super human, pushing the human body to it's limits then it's not something I'd recommend, but if you'd just like to watch a normal bloke attempt something daft & do it with humour & make you root for him as he goes, then it's a really enjoyable watch. Each to their own though mate.... I'm going to stop defending him now 'cos I'm starting to feel like he owes me some royalties or summat for pushing his videos

I had to turn that off half way through ... it's fuckin' insane! That's absolutely crazy - why the hell would anyone in their right mind want to do that ? I can't stand heights so I only watched about the first minute and then fast forwarded to the last 30 seconds to see if he made it.

I had to turn that off half way through ... it's fuckin' insane! Do you think that there is any chance it could be fake Paul. You don't actually get a shot showing him on the rail in its entirety....just " hands" on the crossbar?.. Mind you, I've just looked at his other videos and he has got previous, so maybe not
