Fellow otcakers I need your help. A friend of mine is creating an A-Z of all things Stoke as an artistic representation. She has most letters covered including W for Wedgeood etc. But is struggling with C and Y.? Any clean / serious ideas would be appreciated. Ta. Don't know what you've got for 'M' (possibly Moorcroft - superb and extremely collectible pottery - if you're sticking with a ceramics theme?)...... ....... but surely shouldn't M be 'Matthews, Sir Stanley, a true local and national legend and football's first Knight' and 'Mitchell, Reginald, designer of the Spitfire?' Will you be able to have more than one subject per letter? Also for S: Stoke-on-Trent itself: a city comprising six towns?

As it's a Stokie alphabet it probably doesn't need to go as far as Y. Even C is pushing it

Once the Stokie alphabet is complete I'll post it on here. Thanks for all your help and if anyone has any more ideas post them on as I've sent my friend the link and she'll keep checking back 👍🏻 I think M was for Mitchell although Moorcroft is a good 'iun!

Zanzibar made me laugh.
Nearly didn't make it that far once I'd seen Robbie Williams though.

C should be for Ceramica - a Criminal waste of taxpayers money - or Civic Offices in Stoke - same reason.

(Not) surprised none of our Potteries members forgot to point out that Coalport has nothing to do with Stoke-on-Trent at all. Coalport China is in Coalbrookdale in the Severn Valley.

I'd have gone for Queens Hotel Basford rather than Queens Hall. It's much more akin to Stokies.
