In all the times going past I've never ever seen anyone going in or coming out of it. I've never been in one, but have a certain idea in my mind of the kind of people that frequent them. The kind of people who frequent them? People who don't now how to use the internet. Hey, there’s nothing like the thrill of analog. Just look at the millennials snaffling up all the old vinyl. They’ll be onto your old copies of Razzle next...

On one of my rare visits to the Potteries, I chose to come by train and alighted at Longton. Imagine my surprise when coming down from the platform, almost the first thing you see is an "adult store" located at the bottom of King Street. While I accept that there is a demand for such premises I would have thought they would have been more discreetly located. Stoke is currently bidding to become "European Capital of Culture". This type of establishment would not impress any assessors visiting the city. Many year ago there was a sports shop located here. Perhaps it is a sign of the times that the land use has changed! I've heard you can get a shag in the Crown hotel for as little as a tenner. What a downtrodden shithole of a Town Longton is these days. A tenner , I've had one for a dubonnet and lemonade

Why dont they do a new area called red-on (or summat)! It can have Amsterdam type qualities for everybody's cultural enrichment. This could look to fill up some empty high street areas at the same time. Bring in much needed revenue and additional footfall with tourist like interest! Everybody's a winner.

I always thought Grafton Road was Longton's red light area. My great great grandfather (who was christened "Moses") ran one of many pubs there in the 1800's.

Did they sell ball gags by any chance? Just wondered like. Asking for a friend??

Might have to nip down tonight and investigate this myself.

Wasn't everyone's cup of tea but that Trigger Happy TV set up a brass band and 1000th customer gag outside a sex shop. Absolutely priceless when the customer walked out of the shop all shifty to be met by cheers and oompah pah Similar to Not the Nine O`Clock News sheds Furtive customer asked if he wants a bag Says yes Stuff put in Brown Paper Bag walks out with `SEX SHOP` plastered all over bag 😂😂😂
