I would suggest that Allen probably will sign in the next day or two, but some people on here have seen certain reports and have taken an opportunity to appear as having inside information on the deal.

He was seen leaving Clayton wood with documents. Smiling and he's had a good look around. So has he signed a pre contract agreement or will he be playing for us this season? He's yet to complete a medical. In footballing terms a medical is the hotspot for a deal. As seen with Ba, he agreed all paperwork, but he failed the medical. That was it. Once he completes his medical then he can be announced, that's mainly for Stoke's side though. |

Joe Allen could not, or shall I say should not, have held talks with anyone from Swansea City today as they haven't had a bid accepted. Thus, him being in Swansea today does actually mean fuck all... on the face of it.

So let me get this straight, Allen has signed a pre contract agreement with us, so why would we have anything to worry about if Swansea bid for a player that has already signed a pre contract agreement with us that is legally binding? He was seen leaving Clayton wood with documents. Smiling and he's had a good look around. Excuse my having a 'senior moment' but - the photo of Allen in the TGI place looks as if it was taken during the day. If he was also at Clayton Wood talking to MH today, his transport must have been shifting some (shows ignorance of distance between two places!). |

If we do manage to get sobhi, Berahino and Allen signed up I think that would be our business done in the window. Still think we need a proven CB and Arnie to sign a new deal

Yes, I guess it is like selling a house, you can verbally accept an offer but if someone else offers you another £50,000 before contracts are exchanged you would just accept that instead |
