Who else finds this ironic????? For years we have had to put up with countless jibes about having the ground half owned by the council now our poor relations have half the club owned by the council! With addition to the unpaid police bill how much cash as the vale had from the great city council?? No doubt there will be some excuse from the great unwashed!

Well for a start the link you gave was to a completely different discussion!
Secondly under the V2001 statement nobody can own more than 24.9% of shares in the Vale.
Finally they are not buying any share in the club, they have proposed to give us a loan of £2.2 million which we have to pay back at a smaller interest rate than what we currently pay back to our creditors. It is secured against our ground as any normal loan is.
In essence it is a commercial loan from the Council. So where you get this tripe about the council owning half of Vale is beyond me!
By the way nothing will be set in stone or signed until an announcement on Thursday

Basically.... The council will own The Shit's ground in about 12 month's (when they have gone bust).., purchase price £2.2m real value around £4m.... Nice bit of business on the councils behalf..

Nice bit of business on the councils behalf.. quite cynical view that . I would say its in the council's best interests to keep both football teams going.

It's quite amusing seeing some posters on onevalefan bending over backwards to the make the point that the council aren't giving them the money.
Did these same halfwits listen when we were trying to tell them that the council weren't giving Stoke the money for the stadium?
