That made my year.
I loved the night, some fantastic memories, But the chant when he came was a memory I'll never forget. The best striker I've seen in the stripes.
Great night wilko.
God bless.

When he played for us under Macari you had a feeling we would win because he was playing for us. The only other player who seemed to have that effect was Fuller.

Unfortunately for me I was just to young to see Greenhoff in his prime.... So, Stein, Sherron and Fuller are all heros.....with Stein just edging it from Fuller!!!

Steino is my favourite Stoke player ever. I was a young lad watching him down the Vic. Got so many happy memories of watching him. He was the first player i remember seeing who truley got me so excited everytime he got the ball. And i know we have had so many bigger games since, but the Man United match at the Vic is still up there with my best ever Stoke matches. That night Steino was unbelievable.

I was looking at the stats the other day, Steino scored a goal for us in just under every 2 games, Ric was 1 in 4, so I know who I'd want a modern clone of given our scoring woes at present :-)

If there's an equivalent knocking about out there somewhere then our scouts could earn their daily bread and vacuum him up. Big ask though. One of our best, if not 'the'.

33 goals in one season. Unbelievable. He scored 13 in 18 games for Chelsea in the premier. I wish he scored last night, that would have been a dream come true.

Did you see your avatar on Graham Norton on Friday night, her tits were nearly falling out all night.

Thorne was o'rate...but, for me, he just wasn't in the same mould as Stein, Sherron and Fuller....BUT, that's only "MY" opinion, before anyone starts!!!

Absolute legend.. As others have said it's a tight call between Ric & Steino but Steino definitely edges it for me as his wonder strike at Wembley in the Autoglass Trophy was my first glimpse of what success tasted like.. & from a fan who started watching Stoke in the early 80's and had years of doom & gloom, the Steino, era gave me the faith back that's seen us through to the present day.

Fantastic night, it wasn't just a night for Wilko, it was a night for everyone. We finally got to give the lads who dragged us where we are the send off they deserve.
I had goosebumps at times last night. Fantastic.

Both Stein and Thorne were fantastic for Stoke, but neither hold a candle to Big John Ritchie, who averaged about a goal every 2 games, all in the top flight.

Mark Stein was an instinctive goalscorer and certainly among the top 5 best for Stoke I have seen. But who is this "golden one"? Steino was always known as the "Goalden one"

You'd just finished chatting to him when I dashed in to grab a photo.
