Its getting great reviews, lots of top marks from various web sites. I ordered my copy online from shopto. They tend to send games out a day or two early, i got mgsv the friday before release, meant i had the bank holiday weekend to enjoy it, happy days!

Part way through the Scotland mission and so far very impressed. Graphics are sublime and set the precedent for other games to aspire to on the PS4. Story, voice acting and everything in between is all great and compelling again setting the standard. The only thing I find a little boring is the shooting. I kinda sigh a little when I've got to shoot someone. I think its because the rest of the game is so compelling I want to know more about the story and where its leading.
Naughty Dog are masters of their craft they really are. They've taken story telling, computer graphics to whole new levels. They're at a level everyone else aspires to be.
Superb series of games, a must play if you're a gamer. I'll be sad if Naughty Dog movie away from this type of game to something open world but I can see it happening.
There's a lot to be said about a well told linear story. Not enough games like it imo.
I agree. I'm not a fan of open world games but I seem to be alone in it. I like to pick up a game for 30 minutes/an hour at a time and work my way through a set story. There are too many open world games with massive, boring maps and an overwhelming amount of directions to go and side quests. I can never get into them.
I'd hate for Naughty Dog to join the bandwagon, they're the last good big linear game producer now that Metal Gear Solid has turned into one big boring map.
