Shaping up to be the best pre-season ever.
I keep pinching myself that we are top flight, but this squad is shaping up to look like they could make a tilt for top 7.... The early season results that we have come to expect should bring us down to earth.
Come on Arnie, sign you we want you to!

Bang on mate. I just think the way we have gone about stuff represents a steady way of trying to move on. We have very rarely jumped in like lunatics. There is a calmness about our progression and one day its just gonna explode. I don't disagree with that at all. Said for 2 seasons now that this coming season will be a special one for us. Just said the same to my mate. This coming season will be our best since promotion.

But...but...but...
...if Arnie signs up, how the hell do we get the net spend back down to £5 million?

People don't seem to appreciate how ambitious a club we are. The mood inside the club at the end of last season was one of disappointment. We were a penalty kick from a major cup final again finished inside the top 10. A,season we would once been chuffed to bits with was seen by manager and players as a disappointing one. We are a club moving in the right direction. A bit of patience and trust wouldn't go amiss at times.

Its actually good the Euros he had has finally lowered his wage demands and we're reaching a agreement, will still have a release clause included

I never thought Arnie would step sideways to the likes of Everton. He's finally found a manager who understands him and a club where he feels at home. I would have thought only regular European football would tempt him away. Hopefully we can start offering that after ndxt season Don't forget, Celtic would provide him with REGULAR European football, though not necessarily lengthy spells

Everton agree a £7.2m fee with Villa for Idrissa Gueye. Stay where you are Marko, ferfuxache. Haha a few hours ago they weren't impressed with signing Arnie now they go and spend 7mil on this waster. They are definitely pushing to the next level and champions league football.

I have always had a feeling Arnie would stay. He quite clearly absolutely loves it here and is pretty much untouchable in that dressing room it's obvious to see. He's come out and said how much we've changed it, at the walk around last game of the season I think it hit home then how much we as a club and him as a person bounce off each other.

Can't say it's not annoyed me with how long this has dragged out; I spent a lot of time in the 'if you don't want to be here then go' camp. Only Arnie knows what's going on in Arnie's head, however must say the positive news surrounding this has put a spring in my step.
With the signing of Allen, along with the upcoming talent of Sohbi - Arnie's signature will be monumental. No doubt without him last season would have been quite sticky. If this happens, my positive vibes for the upcoming season will be off the scale!

I do however, put them in the same category
Truth be told, I'd like him to stay - for the right reasons.
My whole point is - if he DOESN'T WANT to stay and wants to leave for more money....then I'll become an 'honorary' member of the 'fuck him off' brigade
