As well as changing the culture of America and the way in which music is produced Elvis is basically a gospel singer

Music is vastly important in changing culture.
I thunk think the impact of Elvis is vastly under rated. Give him a break.
Just a young lad who loves music
Don't we all?.

If your going HN then I’m afraid it HAS to be this Love 'into the fire' myself, I was unaware of Nilsson {other than vaguely recognising 'everybody's talkin'' unil a girlfriend did me a compilation tape which kicked off with 'Gota Get Up', still love it's charm, was on a mission to pick up HN stuff from charidee shops and whatnot, love him and his awkward Beatlsesque brilliance Ace.

I've just been 'treated' to Metallica's version of 'Smoke on the Water' on the radio.
Fucking hell. Diabolical.

good stuff. Hazel Winter, former Blue Aeroplane, Bristol's finest, thought it was vaguely 'familiar'. Hazel and her band played at the 2002 MusicRoom Hallowe'en Extravaganza amongst other assorted horror fuelled fun. I was, and still am a fan of her 'Deah Row Bride' album, I do have a connection with Hazel in that her feller used to be in a band called Witness with a guy I know who now lives in Fulford. I've been to a couple of house concerts in the village featuring Hazel & Gerard. We have considered having The Jesus Bolt on the bill at one of our shows but don't know how fans of the moribund would react to Hazel's rendition of 'Fuck off big horse', especially on a Sunday If and when it happens, I'll give you a nudge Mr Cheees
