Very sad. This ha been a fave since a kid, B-side of 'Brand New Key'. Way before I had any concept of The Blues and such. Delighted when the Bonnie Prince tackled it. RIP Melanie x.

Thanks for that Cheesy I must admit I'd never heard it before. The track I put up by her was on 6Music this morning I was working but stopped to enjoy it. I can't remember whether I put this Billy track up but he makes a fantastic job of it Don't know whether your ears were burning last weekend I met up with Pretzel before the match

Saw Melanie headlining at Glastonbury in 1983, even then, it was still pretty 'hippy' and for the entirety of her set, there was about 40 Hell's Angels sitting along the edge of the stage swooning over her.
It was absolutely surreal ...

I respect good music regardless of whether it's really my cup of tea or not.

This is new to me, popped up on my timeline {don't think Paul Spencer will be interested in this version}.

This song has to be 50 or so years old, an incredible amount of lives could've been saved if Western societies had taken note 😡

Great song.. the Tim Rose version does it for me. Do like some of The National stuff though.. esp the 'T-Shirt' thing that reminds me of a New Order, an imaginary bridge between 'Movement' and 'Corruption'. Another fave of my youngest brother, think we may have seen them at the S/Mill earlier millenium.. "Morning Dew", also known as "(Walk Me Out in the) Morning Dew", is a contemporary folk song by Canadian singer-songwriter Bonnie Dobson. The lyrics relate a fictional conversation in a post-nuclear holocaust world. Originally recorded live as a solo performance, Dobson's vocal is accompanied by her finger-picked acoustic guitar playing.
