Crystal Waters, 'Testify'. 3 minutes 20 odd seconds of great sound.

I remember the night Kelvin dropped She Sells Sanctuary at Golden in Hanley ... 1,000 pilled up house heads not entirely sure why they were going mental to it but they did, nevertheless! In my opinion The Doors are the best live rock 'n' roll band of all time, I was too young to see them with Morrison and my snobbery at the time, got the best of me, meaning that I didn't buy a ticket for the 2004 gigs with Ian Astbury, I kinda regret it now ...

I saw the Kinks for the first and only time 39 years ago today headling The Reading Festival on the Sunday night of the August Bank Holiday weekend. We had tickets for Rage Against The Machine headling Reading tonight but sadly it wasn't to be.

Inside the sleeve of the first TRB album there was a stencil of their fist logo and in small print in the bottom corner of it, it read ... "Under no circumstances should this stencil be used on public property." Round where we lived at the time ... it was spray painted fuckin' everywhere!

Stay with Grace on this one - she absolutely nails the vocal Blimey, it takes some chops to even think about covering Cortez the Killer but boy do they pull it off! Obviously her voice and Satriani's guitar are immense but how cool is that trumpet? Absolutely phenomenal! Not heard it before, thanks for posting.

Can still recall hearing this for the first time as a teenager, being blown away at 1:49 when the guitar and dizzying organ lines kick in,like a swirling sandstorm in the desert....
