You'd be hard pressed to find a better 30 minutes of music.

sparks filmed live in front of a dead studio audience. Well ‘live’ in the same way that TOTP used to be ‘live’ Great record though. The B side Barbecutie is a good un too

You'd be hard pressed to find a better 30 minutes of music. Brilliant Album., Self-indulgent and a bit overblown?...probably: But it's also Blackmore at his brilliant best,so we can forgive 'im. There are also jackhammers that would struggle to keep pace with that drumming...😉😂

You want guitar and keyboard solos? 'nuff said: This really is magnificent. I remember having a cassette of Machine Head when I was at school. No idea what happened to the cassette but I still really love this album and even now nearly 50 years on it still sounds fresh to me and I play it quite often, from start to finish. There's not a bad track on it. Even the lesser known songs like Pictures Of Home and Never Before sound great. It's beautifully uncluttered, you can hear each instrument, and the quality of the musicianship shines through. I'm no expert on Deep Purple or this genre of music but it sounds to me like a great band at the peak of it's powers.

Only issue with this track is it had to end, nothing else like the dead in the groove
