This is the title track from the new folk combo of the same name. Anais Mitchell great as ever and Eric D Johnson of the Fruit Bats singing harmony. The whole album is fantastic.

Went to watch Girl From The North Country today. The missus came out in tears, said it was the best musical she had ever seen. For me, Katie Brayben's vocal on Like A Rolling Stone, was the best live vocal I've ever witnessed, in any context.

Got tickets for her Palladium show in London a week tomorrow ... centre stage, six rows from the front (stoopid money - don't ask! ) but last night she cancelled, that's now the EIGHTH show she's cancelled on the tour so far, she pulled out of a show in Portugal last week, with 45 minutes notice - the tour was always going to be too long for her and now the people at the back end of it are starting to pay for it. Thinking maybe 50/50 at best that it will actually happen ... fingers crossed. Noises are that she needed a few days rest and the remainder will go ahead. Love the first choice from probably her best album, wasn't it after she'd had the voice training around the time of Evita? Just had a text from Ticketmaster ... "We regret to inform you the Madame X concerts scheduled for Tuesday 4th and Tuesday 11th at The London Palladium are cancelled. We have already issuedrefunds - you will see a credit onto the card you used within 5 working days. Ticketmaster." Not even an apology ... she was adding EXTRA shows to the run yesterday. Hotel and train tickets already paid for in full, an absolute disgrace!

It's a bastard Paul and it puts a whole different perspective on the thought of In bed with Madonna these days Just read this from the BBC it's just about the most cringeworthy review I can ever remember reading www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51320857Isn't there anyone else down there worth seeing on the day?

We hummed and hawed over Devendra Banhart at Shepherds Bush Empire but in the end, we decided just get to tickets to Hamilton at the Victoria Palace.

I was 17 in living in a bed-sit on Brixton Hill when this came out and it was truly mind blowing, it was our music, like nothing ever heard before. Thing is, if it had never been heard before and came out for the first time, tomorrow, it would still (over a third of a century on) sound just as mind blowing! Absolutely timeless, the production is unreal ...
