Bit cheesy I know, but a top tune, and the only thing that would ever persuade me to do karaoke (just so long as Murphthesurf was available for the Cher role, obviously )

This song always makes me smile, as the first time I had heard it in years was over the tinny tannoy at Stafford Rangers about five seasons ago. It was a lovely sunny afternoon, and I had my old man sat on one side of me and my teenage son on the other, looking forward to a feast of Evo-Stick Northern football. Happy days.

Did you watch the programme on Eric and Derek last night? Yes, that's what sent me down the road of listening to these songs. Strange and fascinating programme. There was something slightly unlikeable about him in the first half of the programme, completely self absorbed, and then in the second half the current likeable man comes through. Looks like his kids saved him.
Worth it for a bit of Blind Faith.

I'm listening to the wife slamming about in one of her moods, who gives a f**k the match is on in a bit anyway which works like insect repellent on her.
Perhaps we should be listening to this today with the sad passing of Alan. Not a great band but one I saw for free before they became famous and covered in tartan. RIP.

Definitely some well crafted lyrics on the title track The man's a genius Harry. The lad's got the title track on his regular playlist.
"Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think. Your sperm's in the gutter your love's in the sink. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.
And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away in the tidal destruction the moral melee. The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way. But your new shoes are worn at the heels and your suntan does rapidly peel and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick."
