Nice Fel, hadn't come across them before. I shall browse more. Now Mrs Quietman has gone to bed I can get out the vinyl and put on some guitar stuff that isn't beige pop pap: Time to take your carriage clock?

I've tried a few times to get into Belle & Sebastian. It's all very pleasant but just a bit too twee for me.

'Cindy' features J.Marr as I recall, and 'You Woke Up The Neighbourhood was my first encounter with Wilco. 'Accident Waiting to Happen' is mint too.

Had some funky cover versions, and stuff by Elastica, Jonathon Fire* Eater, Collapsed Lung and Spare Snare on it. On your earlier psychobilly tip I see Frenzy are touring and visiting The Rigger too. May venture.

Can't find any Frenzy dates but I'm sure to catch them if they're in the area. I hear Guana Batz are touring this summer. Saw these boys supporting King Kurt recently. Brilliant slap double bass. My dad, a former double bass player in a skiffle / trad jazz band would have approved

This one for my dad. Took him to see Chris Barber a few weeks before he died & the joy on his face when they played this, right underneath our booth, brings a tear even now. The reason as I choose it as my theme tune when I did a weekly radio show. Not your beep beep dance bolox, proper drum n bass www.northernlite.ca/barbermusic/big-noise.mp3

Frenzy is friday 12th October... Underground Hanley, {not Rigger.} Didn't register it was so far future. No doubt it'll be part of a tour.

Still as good as ever. Rucks still crazy but less beer & flour in the air than there used to be. Aha, I'm in Leeds so unlikely to make it down to Hanley. Fingers crossed they play the Brudenell, always a fantastic sound in there.

Not a massive fan of the uncalled for M***therjeffing nor the unwarranted crockery abuse. But nevertheless like these dudes, despite all that.
Confrontational music etc.
