Heard sad news today that John Dick from Leek passed away earlier this week aged 50. John was a dyed in the wool Stokie and followed the team home and away (including friendlies) Stoke City was his life and the world is a sadder place for his untimely death. Can I ask all Stokies to give a round of applause in the 50th minute of the Tottenham game to remember a truly great Stoke fan. He will always be there still in spirit home and away and still supporting his beloved potters. So for you John Gooooooooarn Stoke
RIP

I think you will struggle with the minute applause otherwise there would be 3 or 4 a game.
RIP Stokie

Cheers Mutts I was told 50 by the friend so can't be certain. I grew up on Haregate in Leek and knew his family before I moved to Stoke in 1985. I used to se him on the away coaches occasionally just seems a tragic loss.

The sudden death of John Dick has left so many of us shell-shocked. The usual coach trip from the Flying Horse (Leek) to the ground without him yesterday was very difficult.
A Top Bloke and A Top Stoke City Supporter.
R.I.P. Mate.

A great bloke and a friend. I was only chatting to him last week down the track near Rudyard with our dogs - John was Stoke City through and through. I travelled away with John for years with Phil P, Mark D, Roy (rip) and Garth - memories that will last forever. Always look out for this crew every away game - I travel with my 8 year old now. I will miss chatting to John - he was a true loyal and I always respected him for that.
It is in my blood too and I understood what it meant to him.
Sorry he is gone. RIP General.
