All we need is Arsenal and Chelsea out of the Champions League tonight (especially Arsenal) and this will undoubtedly be the best week in the history of football. Unfortunately, I think they both will go through nate.

Called a representative of my football club a cheat.
Only Stokies have the right to slag off my club and its representatives.
Anyone slagging the players, management or style of play of my club deserves everything that's comimg to them.
Garrrry Monk can fuck right off. Wanker.

Still trying to work out whether being sacked "reluctantly" is different from a normal sacking. Didn't like him or rate him, won't miss him

It's caption competition time gentlemen! Monk: "Mark, how many friends have I got at your ground?" Sparky: "Nein".

Joking apart and notwithstanding my personal feelings, it surely is a joke for them to expect much more than he was delivering, what delusions of grandeur have Swansea got? A manager that has had his best player sold and still leads his team to mid table hits a bit of a sticky patch and lose to the league leaders and ends up sacked. Gouranga.

Clubs are shit scared of relegation because of the cash bonanza next season.
Does seem hasty but we don't know what's going on behind the scenes

Hughes called it right at the time, naive. He showed himself to be naive this season as well, leaving players like Gomis and Sigurdsson on the bench when they have replacements that are not Premier League standard, never mind top half Premier League standard.

Moyes favourite. Would be a great appointment He would be a great appointment but I'd be amazed if he took the job at the worst if no other premier jobs come his way he'd be a shoe-in for the Sunday league with Celtic once they sack Ronny Delia, can't see Rogers going back. Assuming they can't get Gus Poyet the best of the realistic names I've seen are Nigel Pearson and Mark Warburton neither exactly awe inspiring, Swansea's big mistake was not buying a good striker with some of the Bony money.

Swansea have said they will step up their search for another top international manager as soon as the high winds on the Severn bridge have died down

Why did they sell Dyer as well ?

I would say that their chairman already has someone lined up for the job. I would agree with this statement. I'd be amazed if the discussions aren't already started. Appointment made maybe start of next week with a view to giving them a couple of weeks to assess the team prior to the transfer window opening.

It comes to something and a new low on this board, when we celebrate the only truly honest manager left in the Premiershit getting the sack. Remember he leaves players out of his team who cheat and he stood by his principles to the end. It just goes to show only cheats prosper in this league. Get your head out of your arse. Did he drop that cheating fucker that supposedly was felled by Andy Caroll? No he fucking didn't!!! Good riddance to the fish eyed arrogant twat!

Moyes favourite. Would be a great appointment For the past 10 years or so, Swansea have prided themselves on appointing managers who can just step in and carry on playing the same type of football. I can't see them doing what we did by going from one style of football to a completely different way of playing. Moyes at Everton and briefly at Man U, played a pragmatic, slightly dour style of football. Swansea have been playing an easy on the eye, free-flowing style. For that reason, if Swansea want to stick to what's made them popular and successful for the past decade, they'll steer clear of Moyes. He'll probably have been appointed by the time I wake up tomorrow.

His sacking is maybe slightly harsh but football is a results business and lately they haven't been good enough.
He's also a massive cunt.

Having read the Oatcake for a couple of years it's fair to say that the opinions of a few on a message board aren't often a fair reflection of the paying supporter.
I also think it's incredibly harsh on Monk.

The Swansea Chairman has a reputation of decisions coming from left field. I am hoping he has an inspired moment and appoints the biggest Swansea fan there is.......step forward John Hartson! Now that would be a pisser

Not quite sure why everyone is so stroppy about his comments from last season?
He felt aggrieved and complained - something every manager does.
He has lost his way a bit this season, but it is a huge shame to see an up and comer lose his job so easily.

Just by judging general opinion on match days and comparing it to the wrist slashing and hatred on here.
