Last time I went to stoke we were kettled into a pen for half an hour in the scorching August sun after the game. Will make getting back fun. When the fuck was that? 1976? Try opening game of the season in 2005 Seems like you are a 'new fan' to Stoke now they are in Premiership if you don't know it wasn't too long ago that we played each other so you'll also not remember that disgraceful tackle from behind by the thug Shawcross in 2007 on Franny Jeffers which broke his leg and the ref didn't even book him but we still won 4-2 at The Brittania WAWAW Just as well you beat us really...That was the season you just avoided relegation by 3 points, and , err, hold on, yes, we got promoted... FOW FOW.

F.Y.I We play Forest at Hillsborough on Saturday and their fans are paying £30 as are ours for the Kop unless Sheffield Wednesday members and then they can purchase tickets in advance for £25. www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/Tickets/awaytickets/

Sheffield Wednesday for some reason came up with an 8 catogary ticketing system this season for which the top price regular seat in the best seats would be priced at £52 but away fans are not seated in the best seats so would NEVER pay that price and the fact is these Catagory A* and for that matter Cstogary A prices haven't been charged this season and probably won't be.
So what u r saying is only home fans sat in the best seat r charged that amount that even worse bread and butter fan mate for that money I want to sit with the manager

So you don't deny it was a horrible tackle? It's a long time ago but yes I remember now ankle ligaments which can be worse than a broken bone Kept him out for 3 weeks...Terrible injury... After a lively start against Stoke City on 20 October 2007, Jeffers was on the end of a tackle from Ryan Shawcross and was stretchered off with ankle ligament damage. He was out for roughly seven weeks, a big blow after he had caused Stoke's defence lots of trouble in his 40 minutes on the pitch, helping Sheffield Wednesday to a 4–2 away win. Jeffers came back as a substitute on 30 December 2007 versus Hull City, but ended up on the losing side after a 1–0 loss. Just 48 hours later Jeffers played at Hillsborough for the first time in over two months, and not only played for 45 minutes of the game, but also scored the winning goal after 82 minutes from the penalty spot. This was Jeffers' second goal for the Owls. I make that 10 weeks (and 12 games) and not the 3 weeks you stated. What is it with you Stokies making up stuff in both threads I've been in tonight?

Also, there are around 25,000 other seats available to home fans at a cheaper price so it's not as if people have to pay This and sit in the best and most expensive seats, they have plenty of choice elsewhere.

Ipswich £32.50 Leeds £37 (or £42 if paying on the day of the game) Burnley £24 Bolton £25 Brentford £28 (for an appalling view and facilities and seats for legroom for midgets) Q.P.R £28 or £25 for restricted views £23 for Rotherham Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/249812/sheff#ixzz3pvkPoU83All of those prices are pretty scandalous. Just shows how desperate chairman are to reach the prem. They'd even scam their own supporters.

Just enlighten me on how much your top price tickets are and how many times has it been charged this season?
I'll save you the trouble of looking, it would've been £200 for the first 5 games in the best seats at The Brittania which averages out at £40 a game.
At Hillsborough it would've cost £268 for our first 8 games in the best seats which would actually cost £233 if you are a member which costs £30 so you'd have your money back already with 15 league games left where you could save an extra £75 over the season)
So, a non member paying full price in the best seats would average out at £33.50 per game or less than £30 a game if a member

Bit like SWFC really....

If they think that sheff wed vs Leeds, derby, forest is worth £52 to the away fans how much should pc be charging there fans to come and watch a prem side away from home?? Why should the Sheffield Wednesday fans suffer ? They don't agree with the pricing at Hillsbrough in the same way you don't so why the hell should Stoke charge them more ? Oh and what's the arrogance all about ?..." Come to watch a Prem side " ...what have some of us turned into ? £15 or £20 and £5 concessions will be the price

The Hull away game was on 30th Dexember and not the 10th as Wiki states and then he played at home against Preston on New Year's Day 48 hours later.

For what it's worth I actually think playing a Premiership team suits us more with the quality of players we have brought in, especially the foreign contingent from Spain and Portugal.
I thought this when we drew Newcatle and then made 8 changes from the previous game and still won and seem to be able to rotate our squad of around 30 without much problem.
For Arsenal last night we brought in our England U20 keeper again who made the last U21 squad also and has kept his 3rd clean sheet in 3 outings I believe it is (including Newcastle) and big things are expected of him plus a couple of other changes from last Friday and I think comfortably beat what WA put in front of us.

Whatever you charge our fans you must pay it too so your owner would have to subsidise your tickets too which means basically out of the gate receipts after expenses for stewards, lighting e.t.c we get 45% of takings, you get 45% and League gets 10% so in effect you'd be giving The League more money than needed and getting less in gate receipts. So if £20 was charged around stadium for both sets of fans and attendance was 20K £400.000 in gate receipts. Say £20,000 for expenses which leaves £380,000 45% to Stoke = £171,000 45% to Wedneday = £171,000 10% to League = £38,000 But in your little world you think the chairman should susidise his fans tickets so lets say tickets were £30 but subsidised to £20 Stoke chairman subsidises tickets for home fans x 15,000 so puts £150,000 into the pot Our chairman subsidises our 5,000 tickets so puts £50,000 into the pot Ticket sales at £20 x 20,000 again takes £400,000 Total gate receipts are now £600,000 Expenses again £20,000 leaving £580,000 45% to Stoke = £261,000 (minus the chairmans subsidy) means you come out with a profit of £111,000 45% to Wednesday = £261,000 (minus £50,000 chairmans subsidy) means we come out with a profit of £211,000 10% to League = £58,000 Great idea Tonk, I'll go for option 2 also and subsidised tickets

"Come and watch a Prem side" jeez, Sheffield Wednesday have more seasons in the top flight than us and 4 League Titles and 3 FA Cup's to go with it, I hardly think their fans will be creaming their pants at this one and in any case they will be coming to watch Sheffield Wednesday just as we would be going to watch Stoke City were the roles reversed. We should charge whatever it takes to encourage a full stadium to make this the occasion between 2 great traditional clubs that it deserves to be.

I'LL PUT IT IN BOLD AS TO ENSURE THIS DRAWS ATTENTION AS IVE ALREADY BEEN THROUGH THIS IN ANOTHER THREAD. NO AWAY FAN WILL PAY £52 AT HILLSBOROIGH THIS SEASON, THE MOST THEY HAVE PAID THIS SEASON SO FAR IS £39 AND THAT WAS FOR THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON AND AFTER THAT IT HAS BEEN £30 A TICKET. ALSO, THE £52 TICKETS (WHICH ARE THE TOP CATAGORY PRICED TICKETS AND HAVEN'T BEEN CHARGED YET AS HASN'T THE SECOND PRICE CATAGORY) ARE FOR TICKETS IN THE SOUTH STAND I.E HOME END. THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR OUR FIRST 8 LEAGUE GAMES IN THESE TOP PRICED SEATS WILL BE £33.50 OR LESS THAN £30 IF YOU ARE A MEMBER!!! WE HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED DERBY YET THIS SEASON AND DON'T UNTIL DECEMBER SO NO TICKET PRICES HAVE BEEN RELEASED AS OF YET BUT IN COMPARISON WE PLAY FOREST ON SATURDAY AND THEIR FANS ARE PAYING £30 AND BRIGHTON FANS £20 NEXT WEEK!!!
