There are so many good players to choose from my 70s favourite is Denis Smith also loved Jimmy Greenhoff Alan Dodd Terry Conroy Alan Hudson have to mention them as they are all legends. Current my favourite player is Glenn Whelan also like Cameron Adam Bojan Arnie and of cause Ryan Shawcross. They will also become city legends soon

Current - Arnie Past - Delap/Fuller. Probably Delap though. If you ignored the media and actually watched him play, there was a lot more to his game than just his throw. And the respect the club showed towards him after his leg break and the respect he showed the club (and the fans) make him my favourite player. Legend is thrown around a lot, but I personally think Rory is up there. Tremendous defensive midfielder, better than Whelan imo (Whelan's tremendous too mind). He read the game so well and could spot danger from a mile off. A very underrated player.

From the current 25 & one from the past, doesn't have to be based on ability or any particular reason just your opinion. I wasn't around for 70's squad so Current squad - Ryan Shawcross Past - Ricardo Fuller Current-Ryan. Past-Paul Randall, though Chambo runs him close.

Showing my age but Clamp & Setters. Something else, you never knew what they were going to do, hard as nails, and surrounded by a team that were amazing. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing Clamp and Setters Ray!!!!!! Imagine that prick Costa trying it on with them lads!!!! I remember me and my mate Charlie going to the Vic to watch them train. All the players were on the pitch and Clampie wanders down the tunnel smoking a fag!!!! Somebody, one of the trainers shouted "Come on Eddie!" to which his reply was "Fuck off!" Happy days! HaHA

Now - Ryan Shawcross.
Past - Peter Thorne.
It's right hard to choose just one though, even just from our current squad I could have quite easily picked Butland, Pieters, Whelan, Adam, Arnie, Bojan, Walters, Diouf or Crouch. If we just used our time in the Premier League I reckon I could quite easily fill out about 3 or 4 full starting elevens on just 'favourite' players, nevermind going back further than that!
