8 pages of nonsense. All because a bunch of loud mouthed, pissed up idiots were sprayed by a pissed off idiot barmaid.

That's not what he says:- We hadn't been in the pub for long. I'd hazard a guess to around 15/20 minutes. As downstairs was full of locals me and my pals decided to go upstairs out of the way. More Stokies followed us in and followed us upstairs in the beer garden. Some songs started been sang. The barmaid came out and tried to shout something. Couldnt hear what she said. But I would imagine it was a warning of some kind because imediately after she sprayed the extinguisher. I went and spoke to a copper. The one you can see on the video and was told to wind my neck in and to get a grip when I said "that's assult" I then spoke to the barmaid and aksed why she did what she did and she just because you were pissing me off. I asked a bloke at the bar I'd she was the manager and he said she wasn't but doesn't like football fans and we were being dicks. The policeman then proceeded to push me down the stairs. That sounds worse than it was but he was just giving me a reminder of which way to go. Outside I was talking to another copper and he said football fans don't normally come in here. So they aren't used to the noise I have been approached by the sentinel and the BBC. I believe that the sentinel are going to speak to WMP tomorrow Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/248929/landlady-spraying-stoke-fans-yesterday?page=8#ixzz3nrNc6dPW

The police can't win if they'd arrested the barmaid and others they'd have been accused of being heavy handed. Deal with it as a bit of high jinx where no one gets dealt with formally and theyre doing FA about it. They've used discretion. In the end no one got Hurt. if it was Stoke fans who'd have let it off they would have been "having a laugh." Is it not better that police were not taken off the streets to deal with this incident and still free to deal with potentially more serious incidents. There's nothing to say that the female won't be dealt with at a later date.
