1. We looked as comfortable as you can look in the premier league 11 v 11 2. A heroic effort that showed we still have that side to us and should galavanise the players well 3. Van Ginkel is starting to settle and was very good throughout IMO 4. We have a fantastic goalkeeper

POSITIVES: Jack, Whelan, Cameron Van ginkel has earned a bit of credit with me, in fact the players that didn't get sent off all fought for the cause and was proud that we took the game to West Brom. Never let it be said that we lack fight.

The 9 that were left played like warriors didn't dropped their heads and actually showed some respect to the fans, the fans were well up for it supporting the team till the end proud to be a potter yesterday great atmosphere considering especially at full time. Both subs played with passion trying to change it we looked a thread with 9 men just disappointing about affelay, silly child and Adam

Very positive response to a very difficult situation.
Sometimes these things can have a galvanizing effect.

The main positive for me is that pulis is no longer here and that the baggies are welcome to the classless cunt. Onwards and upwards.

The team spirit is clearly very much alive.
Some of the 9 gave super-human performances, like Cameron and Whelan.
Van Ginkel ran his bollocks off and is finally settling into life as a Stokie.
Hopefully a few more people in these here parts have seen that Pulis is the classless, boring wanker, the hero of anti-football, that he always has been.
Afellay will not be shoe-horned into the team for the next few games ahead of players more worthy of a start.

Butland, the most promising 'keeper in world football. Johnson, never really rated him in the past but I'd say he's been arguably our best outfield player so far. Cameron has been really good for us too. Van Ginkel put in by far his best game for us, hopefully he carries on in that form. Shaqiri excites me, I can't wait 'till he's fully up-to-speed. Nice to see we showed plenty of 'fight' aswell (Which we apparently haven't got in us anymore)

The overriding positive, surely, is that tony pulis us no longer our manager.
He is the most boring, negative bastard known to football and his starting 11 and the way they played in the opening half hour told you everything you needed to know about the man.
He's a footballing coward, scared of his own fucking shadow.
His continual bollocking of lescott for daring to cross the half way line and his ridiculous decision to leave 3 back on their corners when we had no one even near the half way line was laughable.

As many times as the 11 men made Jack work none as blind as those that see ay !! can't believe any "stoke fan" thinks west brom were better than us even when they had 2 men more, yes 11 v 9 haha

We kept a clean sheet in the 2nd half.
From south stand the whole wba left wing was lescott, mcmanaman & Morrison vs Cameron: 3 vs 1, not ONCE did they give us a fright.
We should have Bojan, Arnie & Ireland in the starting XI for the next match.

How many times again did we make their keeper work?. Edit oops sorry just noticed that its an happy clappers thread. I was going to make the same point - their keeper was never tested even when we were on top in the first 30 mins! We lack in the final third. If they are going to put 11 men defending surely it makes sense to put runners into the box and try and get a penalty from a 'slight nude' or hit the the ball and get a deflection - thats how a lot of big names are winning their games!

One word: SPIRIT
Despite all the changes we have made, despite all the new players, that was clearly in abundance both at WHL and yesterday afternoon. I'm not worried about the rest of the season at all now. We may struggle with Shawcross out and new players settling to begin with, but we will be fine come may. When things inevitably click in the second half of the season, we will leave teams like West Brom trailing in the dust.

How can Higginbotham say that we have no fight we never gave up against WBA we deserved to get a draw at least the 9 players out there did us proud. If we can play like that and show the commitment they did we will be fine keep the faith

One positive that might have been overlooked, off the back of a very long Tuesday night, the lads had to really work hard yesterday. There's been a few worried about fitness and what not, well this week will have done no harm. Shaqiri was knackered when he came off but that can only be a good thing and with two weeks to recover, I fully expect the lads to be fresh for the arse game.

The fitness issue has always been a total load of bullshit and yesterday put it to bed once and for all.
Our nine players were going well to the final whistle, while the 'Pulis-fit' Baggies were playing for time well before the end and had a player down with cramp at one stage.
