Looks like this thread is dead on it's feet.
So this last from me. A curveball. 40 years listening to it and still can't decide if it is reggae:-

That's brill Skanker. Dub enough to be at home here. Krautskank.
'Flow Motion' is glued to the Dansette at the moment. Have you heard 'All Gates Open'?
(Can't link off the phone.)

Can could justify a thread of their own! Or a generalised krautrock one at least!
I'll give the above a good listen, I haven't heard it in a long long while. Thanks for pointing it out. As always I tend to have a preference for the earlier stuff
I got into them via "Dizzy Dizzy". I heard it in the shop and bought the album straight off. The single "I want more" from "Flow Motion" got them a spot on Top of the Pops. It certainly got a lot of airplay but I can't remember if it charted.
I was looking for Hunters and Collectors but these may suffice for now:-

Rediscovered these boys recently, became a bit of an earworm over the 'summer'. Not as ruff as I usually like the reggae, but Culture are fine.

That's brill LL Cool J, opened a new musical window there. I've never heard or heard of him before. Worth a wiki and a google. There's some good footage of a Supergroup featuring David Byrne doing a cover of 'Better Change Your Mind'. I'll watch the 'Fantastic Man' documentary when I get chance too. Cheeers.

Saw them (minus David Byrne and plus Alexis from hot chip) at a Belgian festival a couple of years back Absolutely brilliant gig. Taught me never to judge a band on its name. I Was lucky enough to meet Sinkane, Money Mark and Pat Mahoney from LCD sounsystem in a nearby town at 4am after the gig, I was a tiny bit spangled but they appreciated that I recognised them and were all Lovely fellas.

I lived in Bournemouth for a short sojourn, victory all the sweeter. It is a lovely place to go back to even if somewhat crestfallen. I've been giving it this on the jukebox.
