Two of us making the long trek down from Cumbria. Hoped the prices might have been slightly cheaper but can't blame Luton for cashing in on the occasion I suppose!

Its a shithole mate, your surroundings are basically a residential area.
For me that's what makes it a proper traditional ground. I don't like the modern new stadia surrounded by retail parks or car salesrooms. I'm looking forward to going there again - that entry through the arch in the terrace houses and up the stairs where you can almost see into people's bathrooms is unique.

Yeah I agree it does bring back memories, but it's not a very good ground. unfortunately I can't make it cause of work commitments so.
£20 quid for a televised midweek game against a League 2 side? Bit steep if you ask me.
I fancied this, but including travel, etc, it's probably gonna cost me more than most Premier League fixtures would.
You and me both. My daughter and I thought about not going, but the day you choose not to go to a live game because it's on Sky TV would feel like a betrayal. I've booked an overnight at Leicester because I don't fancy driving all the way back to Manchester, particularly if there's extra time and penalties, which shouldn't happen given our squad but in football you never know.

Not only is it steep for a televised game at a 4th division club but you're going to throw in an overnight hotel stay as well.
I've been there twice. Once when we lost 6-2 and a few years later when we pinched a 2-1 thanks to a last minute goal from Mike Sheron.
I remember going there last game of the season 94/95 when we won 3-2. The season macari came back into the fold after jordan and hartford. Funny ground but like malcolm clarke says it is a reminder of days gone by when stadiums had a unique character of their own and not mass produced template jobs.

Yes I remember the game (did Keith Scott score??). It's certainly a strange ground with the turnstiles set into a terraced house and that crappy side which is just a row of exec boxes.

I think scott got the winner mate. Sunday game. Pesch scored one of them. It was quite a relief to finish mid table in the end of that season after the start and bad run we had further in. I never went the 6-2. Horror show. Gordon marshall!
