Bought Elder Scrolls Online for XBox the other day. I've played a few hours of it, but not loads, and just wanted to ask a question about the exploration on the game compared to Skyrim (to people who have played more than myself). On Skyrim, a lot of the fun in exploring for me was finding a cave, trying to either fight my way through it or (if I was under-leveled) sneak my way through, to find some useful items along the way in chests. I was hoping for ESO to have pretty much the same sort of exploration but with other people. Up to now, I haven't really found any dungeons and the only exploration seems to be outdoors just collecting materials etc. Are there many caves/dungeons you can go into whenever you want for general exploration?

I've watched the missus on it and it seems pretty similar to Skyrim in terms of exploration and stumbling across random dungeons.
I played it for a bit and couldn't get on with it, despite playing Skyrim to death and racking up 100's of hours of play time. Something about it doesn't seem quite right to me, think I preferred exploring alone without other tossers running into the same cave.
I've got Witcher 3 and it's twice the game, in my opinion, though very similar.

I've got Witcher 3 and it's twice the game, in my opinion, though very similar. There is exploration, no doubt, but the detail of exploration seems fairly limited (if that makes sense?). I know they can't give you amazing loot since it wouldn't be good for an MMO game but, as you said, it doesn't seem quite as good to me. I think the best way I could try to describe it is, on ESO, I seem to end up just doing fairly uninspiring quests constantly and, when I've had enough of that, I'd gather materials and make new weapons/armour etc. On Skyrim, I'd spend hours exploring, finding new locations that always somehow seemed different to what I'd previously seen. When I got bored of that, I'd actually do some of the story or side quests which were far less repetitive and whilst doing both, build up to new armour and a weaponset etc. Even though I've been negative about the game, I still really like it. I'm just not sure it's worth playing over Skyrim unless people I know are online (which is rarely). The combat is definitely better on ESO, though. I'll probably have Witcher 3 before long. I really enjoyed 2, even if I can't remember much of it since I last played it.

Well ESO is an MMORPG which by definition is a grinding game where you gather materials create better armor and generally look and are better than everyone else. The dungeons on ESO more than likely will be done via matchmaking as is in every other MMO but I haven't played it since the shit beta so I've no real idea just basing it on experience.
