Urgghh - not the most surprising news but it still hits hard. The bloke will be very difficult to replace.

Losing 2 of the crown jewels in one summer will be a heavy hit - the type we haven't had to deal with since promotion.
Suppose it's a case of welcome to the real Premier League middle ranks
Hopefully we can get as close to £10m apiece for the pair of them

Doubt if he's going anywhere.
He's currently at the biggest club his talents deserve.
All we need to do is pay him a wage commiserate with his ability and everyone will be happy . . . I hope!!

His dad is basically looking for a big pay day, as he has done the previous 2 years.

Coming from Percy that's terrible news. N'Zonzi has gone under the radar a little with the Begovic situation but this was always as big a threat. He'll be hard to replace like for like, but there are a few options out there. Oddly it might be easier to find a creative midfielder than a defensive midfield enforcer. A tough job but one of Dembele, Roberto or Cabaye, if we're lucky? We'll have to break the bank and flutter our eyelashes to get an adequate replacement though. Huge summer for us if we lose N'Zonzi and Begovic.

He's a great player and it was expected but that is seriously shit news, who on earth could we replace him with?

He's submitted transfer requests the last 2 summers and we've still persuaded him to stay.
Same again?
I'm absolutely gutted. I honestly think he's irreplaceable.

Where's this bullshit £6m figure come from?
I was figuring £8m may be a starting point, and hoping for £10m with a bit of luck.

He is not irreplaceable by a long way , he would be a loss no doubt but LMH will get a player in if he needed to.

I don't see why we don't just put a clause in N'Zonzi's contract saying he can join a team in the champions league for a certain fee.

Percy is pretty good but he does get stuff wrong and we have been down this road with N'Zonzi before.
I was under the impression that his Dad didn't speak for him anymore as well?

Where's this bullshit £6m figure come from? I was figuring £8m may be a starting point, and hoping for £10m with a bit of luck. Wiki says we signed him for £3m. We must have paid approx £5m in the end due to add ons etc. If we only make a £1m profit on him, that would be shocking!

Nobody bigger than the club. Goodbye Steven. Maybe not, but I think this is terrible news. N'Zonzi is our best player, and key to everything good we do. If he goes, we will have to spend £10 million on a replacement to get anywhere near as good a player.

If it's a money issue that's one thing.
If he wants a 'step up' or wants to leave for another reason, then time to do a deal.
