Big shock today with Venezuela beating Colombia 1-0. Brazil needed an injury-time winner to beat Peru, who were brilliant and deserved at least a point. It's not exactly been scintillating in terms of quality, but it's shaping up to be an interesting and quite evenly-matched tournament.

I saw the brazil highlights and it looks like they had a smash and grab tbh... Looks like a good tournament to be honest. Some surprising scores.

Judging by today's games that's a very tough group. Tomorrow we've got Chile-Mexico, and then the Argentina-Uruguay game on Tuesday is huge, especially after Arge's disappointing first result.

Chile-mexico should be great and Argies vs Uruguay is like a war! Won't miss those.

This is shaping up to be a very interesting tournament. Upcoming ties tomorrow and Tuesday will be very tasty. I know we have only played one round but no clear favorite. Still backing Chile to win it on their home patch. Hope they smash Mexico.

Just finished reading the OPs guide....interesting stuff that is I will plump for Bolivia purely because one of my mates here in NL has just started dating girl from La Paz, Bolivian/Dutch parents and she's one of the fittest women Ive ever seen Figure to die for, beautiful legs, huge churns and a smile that just makes you dribble inanely She dived into 'the gene pool' and swallowed the fuckin lot !! I keep making excuses up about going round there, but I have to drag along my other half, as thats how we got to know the couple And NO - it wasn't off bolivianbrides.org.com.net either Go on Bolivia !!

End-to-end stuff in the Chile game so far. Classic Chile performance, brilliant and incisive going forward, circus show at the back. 2-1 Mexico as we approach HT. Pellegrini in attendance.. Your boys Bolivia held on to a 3-2 win against Ecuador, dutch

How many more perfectly good goals is the linesman going to disallow?

If Chile just had a defence they would demolish every team in this competition.
It's a shame because as it is they've got no chance. They'll just always concede. They might even lose this game yet.

Copa America hasn't let me down today those matches were amazing... loved the 90 mins of straight on attacking and end to end play. Cracking tournament so far. Beats most of the Euro Qualifiers for me.

Wonderful goal by Argies. Uruguay going to have to come out of their shell and attack now.

Fucking hell - Arturo Vidal has had a pretty serious car crash. National news showing images of his Ferrari, which is an absolute mess, and another car on its side. He's in hospital with "minor injuries", although his Mrs might be worse off.

Vidal was driving while intoxicated? I thought they would lock Chile's side down for this tournament where they are sequestered in some posh resort with little to no access to the outside world?

Colombia 1-0 Brazil at HT. Big game this, Colombia far the better team so far, dunno if one will be enough though, Brazil bound to come back in the second half.
Neymar on a yellow and wound up, and this ref is a fucker as well, he'd love a chance to send him off.
