What if they said look we are going to pay you good money but we are a bit perverse so we might say things to get us aroused? You pay your money say what the hell you want as long as we get our cash we don't care. Filming it was the stupid thing sharing it was moronic. Things go on in that country fuelled by sex and money simple. Yes, I'm sure that would be just what the club's Thai owners and the club's sponsors, the Thai Tourist Board, would be delighted to hear. The penalty for defamation of a person by means of publication is imprisonment of up to 2 years or a fine of up to 200,000 baht. Publication in this instance is the distribution of the video footage privately and then in the newspaper itself. The law itself is very ambiguous and is generally regarded as heavy handed and unfair, but if a prosecution is bought about it will almost certainly result in prison. I suppose it all depends on how well connected the clubs owners are. Those idiots need to get back to the UK asap. |

The last time Leicester players got into hot water in the news was when a certain Mr Colleymore (I think) and others trashed a hotel and mucked about with a fire extinguisher. Pretty tame by comparison with this but there was a bit of a media shitstorm, I seem to recall. The trouble is, as with with sexting and stuff, the cyber generation have lost their perspective about the consequences of sharing their private lives with the wider community. Everyone seems to feel they have to chronicle every aspect of their lives and share it with the world, whether the world wants it or not.
