Not yet were a few years away yet....if we keep improving year on year and keep the nucleus of the squad maybe 4-5 years got to be looking at 7th place next year imo No club improves every year. There will inevitably be a dip.It may be next year or a few years down the line but it will happen. I wonder if the media will build us up in the close season to be the next big things so they can just knock us if we don't meet their high expectations ?

Love the optimism but absolutely not. Stoke are a long way off breaking into the top 6/7. The investment needed to assure we have more goals in the side is probably not going to be there. Liverpool will have Sturridge (Or replacement), Courtinho, Sterling (Or replcement), that young black lad who I cant name at the moment, and I would think Balotelli will still be there who will improve next season. Add Henderson and Lallalalananala etc and I think we are still a long way off eclipsing those type of players. I know they haven't covered themselves in glory this year still, Stoke above Liverpool will not happen.

On any given day, then yes..........over a season, I have to agree with most others and say no.
Liverpool have had a shit year by their usual standards and they still finished 6th.

Hard saying what the dippers will do this summer, or how much more coin FSG will allow Rodgers to 'invest'. If indeed Rodgers himself remains. If we can finally field a healthy squad, and finally get some luck of the good variety, I definitely think we will be capable of clipping them.

I'd be shocked if Liverpool stick with Rodgers, he seemed to base his entire plan for this season on Lambert and Lallana playing together as well as they did for Spurs. Then changes his mind within days and decided Balotelli was his answer. By the end of September he had given up on both those ideas and decided to pick his team by throwing darts at the squad list, after first removing the strikers names. If they decide to keep him and give him another load of money to spend then there could be a record low finish (as all records now seem to have started in 1992) for Liverpool. Even if they give him the transfer kitty this summer, you'd imagine they would have someone else in before January to try and save the season though. You'd think 8th would be a very worst case scenario, even Manure managed 7th when they were getting thrashed regularly at the end of the season. Playing for Spurs, when did that happen, did I oversleep by a season ? Ha, they both begin with S.... Easy mistake to make

Liverpool are ahead of us at the moment, we can get the odd result against them but 8 out of ten tims we would narrowly lose. That isn't actually true is it? Haven't they only beaten us once at the Brit since promotion? If so then we don't lose 80% of games against them. No it's not, for some reason I only had Anfield and the cup match in my thoughts, we normally give them a good game at home.
