The only thing I suggest is if you fly with BA to fly on the days when they use the A380 and not the older 747 - the turbulence is a bitch coming back.

Or UK based fans to combine holiday with new football venue. Plus the profile raising in SE Asia. Why not take your boots, Chugga? If its not a full strength side, maybe you could convince the Singapore XI to give you a game?

How much is beer in Singapore these days? Last time I was there was about 18mths ago and it was 5-6GBP a pint then. I understand there has been a new beer tax introduced since then. I am a bit scared..8GBP a pint is taking the piss!

Done a bit of searching online and not too bad, beer a bit expensive 5-10 dollars depending on what kind but food is very cheap to make up for it.

My recommendation would be to fly the Emirates A380 from Manchester. You can stretch your legs in Dubai for a few hours before continuing on. Each leg MAN-DXB and DXB-SNG is about 7hrs each I think. The A380 is a decent plane.

Plenty to do. Fort Siloso is worth a walk around. Hire a bike. It only takes an easy hour to get around. I recommend you plan your trip to Sentosa in detail if you want to maximise your time. I also recommend eating off Sentosa. Restaurants on Sentosa are over priced and not great. You cant avoid it during the day but I recommend taking your evening meal across the water in Vivo City shopping centre. We had a fantastic chinese meal in here which was great value.Lots of choices, lots of restaurants and/or fast food places. Also had a great lunch at The Farmers Market (I think).
