Well you think you were close last week, i was even closer. If you take a look back i predicted a 3-1 against Watford with Akinbiyi scoring 2 and Thommo scoring once with Helguson scoring for them. Not bad considering i had 4 scorers to name!

I predict there will be a game of football
some people will pay to watch it
it will either finish a draw, a home win or an away win
& that at least 22 players will be involved
and the ref will blow his whistle ;D

hum - they let rotherham stick 5 past them a few weeks back... so i'm putting a fiver on us to win at about 2 and 1/2 to 1... we look like scoring in most games whether we keep a clean sheet will decide the outcome.
prediction: Reading 0-2 Stoke

But will it be his own whistle?
Or do the FA provide you with one when you become a Ref? ???

Sorry to be a bubble-burster. I was going for 3:2 Stoke til I heard that Saint Eustace was out. Since he's been the consistent difference maker, now it's 2:1 Reading.

Sfance, Eustace the "consistent difference maker" - what happened against Ipswich and Watford then? Was Ade actually Eustace in disguise? ;D

It will be a boring, scrappy match, with Ade netting a late 2nd half winner
Reading 0 Stoke 1

Fornside,
We shall see. For now, I'm sticking to my story that Eustace is the original and continuing reason why we are on the edge of the play-offs instead of in the bottom three. This is an odd thread, by the way, because it's practically unanimous that Stoke are going to take all three points. Yet, if you go to the Prediction League, it's running about 2:1 in favor of a Reading win (63 against 32). In order to stay in contention, Stoke have to win either this one or the Sunderland game. My memory is that we always do pretty well against Sunderland, so I'm still hopeful we'll take that one.

Actually, Sfance, an average of 1 point from our away games and 3 points from our home games would put us on 74 points at the end of the season. So technically we would still be on track with two draws. However, a win from one of the next 2 away games would be nice and would help make up for the almost inevitable loss of a few points at home.
Incidentally, Eustace is my player of the season but I think Taggart has made the difference. 9 wins and 1 draw from his 10 games speaks for itself. I can't ever remember stats like that from a Stoke team and I go back a long way.
