Thing is some of the 'old stuff' was tremendous fun. That Brazilian keeper at Spurs leaving the pitch in floods of tears in a state of utter confusion was a personal favourite. Myhill for Hull in a state of utter confusion not knowing whether to kick the ball to touch for a Rory Delap throw in or backwards for a corner. Pissed myself for weeks thinking about that..... Yep, was a brilliant moment. I also remember Dean Windass warming up behind Rory so he couldn't step back lol. Funny moments

I hate the way we are perceived in the media, I have no doubt that we still miss out on players because of it. However it has it's pros as well as its cons...
Pros... - teams underestimate us - as we don't get praise we don't get noticed... I'm sure it's why Bego ETC are still here! - it gives us the 'us against the world' mentality that we love to thrive off.
Cons... - potential signings won't sign for us - we never get any praise - we have to put up with idiotic quotes like these!

My response to this is 'Fuck yes we are.' Embrace it. I don't think it's necessarily accurate anymore, but I have no problem with people thinking it. Fuck em.

It's true though - if Ireland had have caused actual bodily harm to a player of say Arsenal or Chelsea, frig me could you imagine the hysteria. It would be the talking point of the week, mate. Durham and Gough would be all over it for a start.

Like Wimbledon in the 1980's-1999's, they don't dislike us for how we play - they dislike us because we beat them. If we lost to them all the time they wouldn't give a 'monkeys' how we played.

Durham and Gough would be all over it for a start. Actually, Durham implied that Ireland got his just desserts for his earlier tackle on Meyler. He kind of retracted it, but basically was saying that he deserved it. It's amazing how much crap like this Stoke players have to put up with. If Ireland played for any other club, Durham would never have put that slant on it. And just when he was beginning to rehabillitate his repuatation for Stoke-hating.

This weekend (like every weekend) i have seen some awful tackles and in the case of jedinak for palace GBH . I'm sure a lot of you have seen the picture of Irelands leg which is all over social media... and all the time I think if it had been the other way round we would never hear the end of it. How long will the thugish/rugby team tag stick for now. I'm bored of telling people I am a stoke fan , only to hear 'dirty team stoke'. Okay, rant over , back under my rock Try asking Leeds fans

The San Antonio Spurs were criticized for being too defensive and boring, then they went to the championship twice, winning once. During those seasons they had completely changed their style of play. The year after (now), they are still never talked about. They are still small market, do smart business, and perceived as boring.
Win lose or draw Stoke will not be talked about. We keep supporting, the team keeps performing.

I love being the black dog , the outcast , the underdog, unfashionable. Every time we win we stick two fingers up to the self serving southern football press. They still think we are only dangerous from set pieces . Even our Tone got lauded when he went to Palace.
