Newcastle and Celtic did exceptionally against two "top" Spanish teams and Celtic were close to winning against Barca. Great stuff.

I think liverpool will be dissapointed with the draw, they would have wanted to win the home game. Personally I cant see them going throught to the next round. Well done to Newcastle and Celtic though.

Liverpool should of beat Marseille. The amount of chances Liver pool wasted in the 10 minutes or so especially Gerrards chance. I dont think they will get through so that will be another nail in Houlliers coffin.

Am I the only one who noticed that Celtic actually beat Barcelona?
'newcastle beat mallorca and celtic drew against barca'
'Celtic were close to winning against Barca.'
Both of these quotes say otherwise but after checking with both SkySports and Ceefax they both say that Celtic won. Am I living in some kind of different world to everyone else? Are we talking about the same Celtic? The ones that play in Scotland? Hello. Hello, is anyone there? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ??? ???

I thought they won because i sure PAt Nevin said it was a great result for Celtic, but i just thought that Barca equalised at the death from reading scfcmiddo comments. Should of checked really.

yay celtic!!!
smeegmeister won't be happy ;D
must admit we really deserved the win, could have been more than 1-0.
we beat them with just 1 fit striker and an 18 year old gk in the second half.
just hope they can recall hedman for the second leg or we're fucked

Totally agree with you there Scfcmiddo. You should only support one team.

right i support stoke. i said we because i also support celtic. as they are not even in the same country this is allowed because i say so. if stoke played celtic i would want stoke to win. i'm not interested in the "you can't even like another team, you support one and that's it" i mean looking out for there results is hardly die hard. i've been to one game, it was a restricted view seat, was against dunfirmline and we won 5-1 or summat like that. i support celtic because i'm scottish (yay) 1/2 my family is from stoke other 1/2 from glasgow.the half from glasgow are celtic supporters so i suppose that influenced that. that ok for ya

Great result for Celtic. Newcastle did well too but horrendous for Liverpool. Shankly and Paisley must be turning in their graves.
