Stephen Ireland, straight swap. No brainer.
He's had two opportunities in the cup now and done brilliantly both times. He's earned the chance so he gets the shirt. There's no point arsing around with the system in an attempt to replace the irreplaceable. We need to move on. The priorities remain the same. Winger and forward. It wouldn't have been the end of the world if we had to wait until the summer though. With Bojan now out, I'd like to see at least one new face brought in by Monday night.

So, many have got their hearts set on stephen Ireland after games against Wrexham and Rochdale?
He's had games in the prem before and been utter crap at times.

No way, we have won games from the goals Bojan has scored. Arnie cannot finish for shit, at least Ireland, despite his lack of effort, can hit the target. Played 9 without bojan. Won 6 Drew 2 Lost 1.

No need to start changing to many positions about ,Stephen Ireland is perfectly made to be in the hole and keep Arnie on the wing.
Diouf up top or walters and rotate them two certainly away on the break because I think crouch has his role at home to play but Ireland in behind him aswell.
We have good options plus Adam late on plus Hughes still might bring in another gem.
No panic for me just get well soon Bojan.
Come on Stoke

He most certainly didn't play in any understanding I have the word as a 'stiker' at Fulham. We didn't have a striker that day. Disagree with you as he did quite well in that role in my opinion. He also scored a goal that never should have been disallowed. The whole team in fact had a reasonable good away game, but the officials robbed us that day! I was there!

We were hard done to by officials, although they also had a stone bonking penalty turned down. We were shit and lost to a shit side. No real hard luck stories and hopefully a role for Arnie never to be repeated. Not a false number 9 or a real number 9. A shit number 9

It has to be Ireland, thanks to Bojan we have now really started to play in a way that suits an advanced attacking mid/deep forward and that's where Ireland shone under Hughes at City.

I would play Ireland in that role, that said who is to say that Hughes may play a 4-4-2 with Diouf playing off crouch up top Arnie and Moses on the wings.
There are other choices too, there is obviously Adam or maybe even try Moses in the number 10 role similar to Sterling for Liverpool, play Arnie on the left and Walters on the right..............choices are endless!

Arnie can't shoot. Would be a bad move of position for him and for Stoke. It's Ireland to replace Bojan but If anything happened to Ireland I would like to see Moses in there with Arnie and Walters on the wings.

Undoubtedly Ireland looks like the obvious replacement, and I'm pretty sure that Sparky and co. will have that at the forefront of their thinking. I've been critical of Ireland's overall contribution so far, and on the evidence it'd be risky to think he could sustain the run in {League and Cup. 20 or so games?} We may need back up for the back up. I'd be interested in seeing how Muniesa could fulfill the role. Quick thinking, good touch, and an good eye for goal. With Wolf in the team I would still like to see Muniesa on the pitch. Just a thought.

Ireland starting and when he starts to flag or go missing bring on Adam to finish the job.

Spot on with everything you say. We have Charlie too. Ireland would get the call for me and I am sure he'll rise to it too. There is no point having him on the books otherwise. How Bojan plays the role he brings the midfield and defense into the game and Ireland can do that too...just not as good.
