I have no idea why I didn't include this. I've played through this game more times than any other.

Played too many good games to choose one really.
Obvious candidates with Sonic 2 or Adventure 1/2. Super Mario Bros 3, San Andreas. Other notable ones for me include NFS Most Wanted original. Shenmue, Altered Beast.
Choosing one Is hard, but I have to say Shenmue for its sheer size and detail.

I had Shenmue II and I don't quite remember what happened but when I played the game I never really got far in the story, I just became a dock worker and arm-wrestler making money and roaming around the town and gambling.
I think for me though it has to be Knights of the Old Republic, that was my first introduction to RPG games really in any meaningful way and the story with Revan at its core was good, it did a good job of putting all the clues right infront of you along the way but still offering entirely reasonable alternatives that made sure it didn't become outright obvious.

Final Fantasy VII - Unbelievable game, the story sucked you in to the point where you genuinely cared for the characters and the story. You could spend endless hours playing the game, exploring the world and playing side missions and plots. It was just epic from start to finish.
Resident Evil 2 - Played this game to death, to the point where I could complete it in a very short space of time, but still loved it every time I played through it.
GTA Vice City - Possibly one of the coolest games ever, ok the plot was a little bit scarface but was still excellent and the soundtrack was mega. If you could do the things on Vice City that you can do on the games Since San Andreas, it would possibly be the best game ever. They need to include the city in any new games that they make. I'm pretty sure they won't be far off including the whole of america in a game soon haha.
Other notable mentions, Tomb Raider 2, Uncharted 3, Silent Hill & Metal Gear Solid.

Flashback on the Mega Drive and Thunderhawk on the Mega CD, oh to be fifteen again! And before that, special memories of Psycho Fox, Shinobi and Alex Kidd on the Master System and Fantasy World Dizzy and Gauntlet on the Spectrum. Alson Golden Axe, Rainbow Islands and New Zealand Story on the Amstrad. Happy days

Another two games I forgot to add to my list. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus. Great puzzle/platformer games. And sometimes, really bloody difficult!

The animations when power striking the ball and the dances when putting a birdie or better were just great.

Though I don't know who sings the intro song. Justin Timberlake is also in the game as 'The Hustler' who had the 8 ball as his golf ball. The games were so fun back in the day, but nowadays I hate playing Golf games because they're no fun and too serious now. Same with FIFA. Now its the world of all graphics no game play. Shame really.

The problem is that company's know shooting games are guaranteed purchases. There is only so much you can add to one. The only fps's I've enjoyed in a long time are Halo and Destiny. Halo because of the mp game play, and destiny because of strikes and raids which the likes of Cod and Battlefield don't have. It's all easy money. And yes, Tiger Woods 14 is awful. It needs a major revamp. I'd prefer it if 2k Sports made a game.
