I think they formed a boyband Smeegs.
John Gayle left due to "musical differences" and recorded a solo album of Nolan Sister covers.

There was Dave Regis played in France at the same time as ours. Was on hols and watching Eurogoals when this chap rifled in a 25 yarder. When I got home couldn't understand how we still had him at Stoke. Should have realised when I saw the goal it wasn't him really John Gayle did play in the Masters tournament recently and Chic had a coaching role at the Shrews for a while.

I wonder what happened to Gerry Mcmahon. Who was highly thought of but was a joke of a footballer.

Gerry McMahon went to St Johnstone was it but ended up in N Ireland playing part time and was working as a postman at one stage.

What about Steven Tweed or Mark Mcnally who was a waste of money

Post by dude on Mar 11, 2004 16:30:49 GMT
Steven Tweed became one of those human statues that you see in Dam Square in Amsterdam, Times Square NY etc
Basically he still does what he was doing whilst playing for us.

McNally was playing for Stirling Albion in the Scottish Third Division, Stephen Tweed was playing in Scotland then went to Germany. Most recently he's signed for Yokohama FC

Carl Beeston was sitting in The Sentinel Stand earlier this season, though I can't remember witch game. What a waste he was eh? always did well for us,but could've gone a hell of alot further if it wasn't for injuries Respect to "The Beest",and his goal at Wigan

Matt Bullock is at Buxton at the moment. He left Leek and signed for Stocksbridge Park Steels (Wayne Biggins' former club) he then went on to sign for Buxton, played quite a few times for them this season scoring four goals so far... Really lost his way at Stoke with injury. www.ferodo.demon.co.uk/index.html

One of the Scandinavian fans runs a SCFC website which keeps a very comprehensive track on all ex-players and what they are up to these days. Trouble is, I can't remember the URL and lost it when I had to wipe my PC clean after a virus attack

I am told that Paul Ware is now a driving instructor, for those who really want to know. Talking of whatever happened to...... we had our first Supporters Trust Steering Group meeting before the game last Sat. in a building where Danny Bowers was on site painting it.
