Getting ready for tomorrow, was thinking of 'Heroes & Villains' Beach Boys or 'Dog Eat Dog' Adam & the Ants, or Ice Cube Miss Toi 'You Can Do It'. Going for... Conner wait.

Sorry I'm a bit slow Cheesy, can you explain your above post, not urgent a PM in the next 5 minutes will do Soz mate just got back. Nowt much to see really in the inner workings of the Cheeesmind on this one mucka. Being as you asked... It was posted under the heavy weight of anticipation, football isn't scripted and whilst I have faith and hope, I never have too many expectations. It feels like 2016 has been a difficult ride so far, the Bournemouth game averted what felt like could have been a terrible tailspin. With the back four woes etc etc.. I really wasn't sure which Stoke I would witness today. Huffing and puffing or incisive. Mean as hell at the back or leaky. As it turns out we had a bit of everything. Made hard work of the game and could have done loads more to exploit their pandemonium at the back. Great result in what could have been a stinker. The Evil 9/Aesop Rock tune goes something along the lines of.... "We don't like it when the City lights are fading...' 'We don't like it when our wings are broken, pigeon wings broken....' etc etc That's why I posted it, very literal. Anyways great day so far. Content with plenty to digest. And tea.

Stoke City 1 - Newcastle Utd 0.
Some brilliant, if a little blunt, nogger. Afellay first half was just awesome in my book.
Met up in the Loco, hip flasked to the ground with remarkable cigarettes. Probably drunk a barrel or more. Lined up to face the Toon.
And what a save from Jack right at the death, saw through the legs of the leavers.
Brilliant night, thanks Stoke.
Edit: shite on me desrt boots caused by the diversion back to The Terrace. {Nice Bass}.

Lets hope not. Rossini - The Thieving Magpie. The tune Marillion used to play just before they entered the stage. Is nothing sacred! Do remember hearing it on the beginning of a live album. {On someone else's stereo.} To the matter at hand. Focus on the Crocuses. Got £3 on 20/1, Stoke 1-2, 40 year since.

Upwards and onwards after a fantastic display against current Champs Chelsea. For the third time this season. The bet went down but can't turn me nose up at 1-1 at Stamford Bridge. Nowt wrong with a bit of wishful thinking.

I remember All those moments Lost in wonder That we'll never Find again There's no more time for us Nothing is there For us to share But yesterdays

[/p][/quote] Guilty as charged, glad someone's concentrating. I was going to post 'The Thrill of it All' until I noticed 'Song For Europe' and couldn't resist. Fits in well with a touch of Potters self deprecation I thought.

Made me smile amongst the minor deflation. Courtney Barnett's lp is great. One of me favourite gigs of last year. Great pick.

[Nice work yet again felonious. Spent a pleasant evening at the Custard Factory observing Tunng. Lovely stuff. Static Caravan. And ace camera shop for the partially exposed.]
I didn't see it saturday, the actual match. So didn't feel qualified to soundtrack eet. Cheeers for taking an interest felo. Big Wedding to attend. The last match I was so fully incommunicado for was the St. Valentine's Day Blackburn Massacre last year. Another betrothal kept me out the loop.
Sat back with a phat cheroot on saturday, surveying Bosley Cloud, Wildboarclough, Fools Nook, Shuttlinslow. Lovely venue. Smug in the knowledge we'd took the sting out of the Hornets and didn't get fooled again. I'll be watching MotD in a min and might then think up a musical post. Can't see it being Rocket Man.
A break for friendlies then a 7 game mini-tournament for a bit of Europe. Mint.

Now then, Swansway, The Wild Swans, The Swans.... I'm sure our crock of a team will put up a good showing. Can't be predicting a result though. Got the ticket and logistics sorted. Or.... Go on lads, the start of the seven game mini tournament for Europe. {Doubled the pounds in the European adventure jar when we beat Swansea at home. £1 per goal became £2. £85 in it now, roughly speaking.}
