No it's not.
I did with my family and daughter against man city a couple of seasons a go.
4 of us got seats behind the dug outs. Full stadium tour. Changing rooms with photos against players shirts crouch and Owen. Meal. Photos against all the post match interview backdrops. Club photographer took loads of pictures of my daughter and we got a large montage with a fantastic shot of my daughter shaking hands with Balotelli.
Great day out an worth every penny

I'd pay it if I could walk out holding Peter Crouch's hand.

Welcome to a free market economy! I would not have thought that the concept of sound economic practice applies to PL Clubs given the rate of indebtedness of most Premier League Clubs A comparison with the Bundesliga is worth making in terms of ethos of the club, social responsibility of the club to its community ( which brings me back to the principle that clubs should be paying a "Living Wage to their cleaners, security staff etc) and ultimately its chance of continuing success. Its a rhetorical question but which is the stronger league the German or the English? www.theguardian.com/football/2014/aug/13/bundesliga-premier-league-germany-ticket-prices

I'll give them £400 if next season they'll let me dress up as a giant spunking penis against Arsenal at home and let me prance around throwing frozen croissants at the wankers.

So they've addressed the mascot issue. Hurrah. Now, back in the real world, Stoke have some of the lowest season ticket prices in the Premiership (far more expensive than Germany mind) while Arsenal charge about 2 grand.
I think there are more important issues. Don't you?

Billc, whatever you've been reading to come to the conclusion that anyone has suggested that the Bundesliga is more expensive than the Prem, I suggest you read it again because no one on this forum has ever suggested any such thing. We may be ingnorant backwoods fans but every English fan is well aware that Prem prices are a rip off - especially compared to the great value for money in the Bundesliga. The only consolation we have is that Stoke's season ticket prices are less of a rip off than those of most clubs in the Premier League.

Few years back now...I fact it was our first season in the prem my lad walked out as mascot with captain griff. Never had to pay tho.....he had joined one of the young supporter thingies earlier that year ...only a few quid.....then we got a phone call asking if he wanted to be a mascot Superb day well looked after......a day to remember

I finally see why Sunderland, with an appalling home record over the last 2.5 seasons and a chaotic boardroom, plus a manager who says how boring is his team, manage to average just under 40,000 at SOL.
They charge NOTHING for mascots and £99 for a junior ST! We are half way at £329, dearest, and seventh highest re Xmas itswith

Oops! Problem with iPhone.
Was saying that we are 7th re mascot charges.
Clubs like ours are receiving over £60m a season, from Sky's golden pot and can't see where the future lies!
Can we not afford a club psychologist?

Great day out an worth every penny It's your money & your opinion, but having done the same with my eldest daughter a couple of years ago I disagree. Due to fortunate circumstances I did not pay a penny for the package and although it was a great experience, if I had paid nearly £400 for it I would have been massively disappointed.

There is much to admire about the Bundesleaguerfootballarbeiterkickballenmanshafter but I like having a guaranteed ticket and the same seat every game - that's not so common in Germany

The reason Arsenal don't charge mascots is because the kids are frightened by Arsene's face!

£390 seems steep but it depends what you get as part of the package. If it’s just walking out on the pitch then it’s ridiculously overpriced.
Reading a post further up though, it would suggest there is much more to it than that. If the cost includes, say, a family ticket allowing two parents and two children access to the game then you’ve got over £100 of value straightaway. If a meal is also included for the family then, again, that could be anything up to another £100, depending on what food/drink is provided. You’ve then got the stadium tour and all the pictures taken by the photographer which will also add value to the deal. The icing on the cake being the opportunity to walk out onto the pitch with your heroes, which I’d imagine is a pretty special experience.
