We did it later than other clubs last year too. (By later actually at the time they should be worn) We will have them next weekend guaranteed.
Surprised the Daily Mail haven't pounced on this yet though and denounced us as traitors and enemies of the state..

As long as we have them next weekend (& I'm sure we will) then I have no issue with not having them today.
Imo - it annoys me when people start wearing them in October - 1 November at the earliest for me

Perhaps we've just had more important things to worry about than not displaying a poppy a week before rememberence day? Bit of a precious thing to be bothered about.

Having one printed on your shirt does nothing...go an buy one which goes to the British Legion to support our vets. Unless of course the clubs make a big contribution cash wise for putting them on shirts?

Imo - it annoys me when people start wearing them in October - 1 November at the earliest for me We will NOT be too late next week! We kick off on the Sunday afternoon and well before the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. We may kick off after all the Remembrance Day parades on Sunday 9th, but poppies may be worn upto Tuesday the 11th.

I have enough not to need to get any more so I just donate a sum each year to a poppy seller and DON'T take a poppy. I have treated myself and laydee in my life to a couple of poppies out of the moat in the Tower of London. They should arrive sometime in the next month or so. Not sure whether to "plant" mine in the garden or put it on display in the cottage. I wish I had the chance to get down to London to see them "in situ" before 11/11.

They do - that's a big part of the reason for having the poppies on the shirts. Every club auctions their poppy shirts.

My cousin has been as she only lives in Kent.
