We had the same threads at this fixture last season, we won't get this or that, its a tough game, they are on fire blah blah blah. We went and took the game to them and were unlucky not to win. Its Southampton people not friggin Barca. Game on, you never know what you will get with us, thats the beauty of it. Enjoy.

They will push up trying to take the game to us. We will score on the break. They will get an equaliser, probably thanks to one of our centre backs; Either Ryan doesn't learn his lesson or Wilson steps in with one of his howlers. The game finishes 1-1. Think I'll take that, Ta.

Pelle will be a big threat. Hope he's got Shawcross leaning all over him. Geoff a deep defensive mid in a 4-1-4-1

All this praise for Southampton is getting very nauseating. They are becoming real Media-Darlings. Well it's about time somebody pissed on their parade. And nobody does that better than Ugly Cheating Stoke.
Southampton 1- 2 Mighty Potters.

We need Bardsley to be fit. If Cameron has to play right back, our midfield will look a bit flimsy with no Whelan. A centre midfield of Nzonzi, Ireland and Adam didn't really work against Swansea; it will be ineffective against an attack-minded team like Southampton.

We need to keep their full backs busy. Well guess what,we have the players to do just that.

I have a feeling for 4 1 to Southampton.
Either way I'm with RAF, I think we'll get hammered.
The cup game however will be a different story.

Didnt like the look of anything in our last away game and certainly dont buy this 'lightening cant strike twice' stuff about Saints having an off day just because everything went so well for them last week. Pessimism takes over here Im afraid - Saints by at least 2.

Would love it if we did woys boys today! Goan stoke!
But i predict a draw, bet woys preying none of those stoke thugs damage his precious little soldiers.
Hope shawcross shines today! Be careful of the shirt pulling or match of the day will have to put out an extended edition to cover all their impartial, non biased analysis!

If we play as we did 2nd half against the Swans we will win this. However we need to come out of the blocks quickly and not let them have the chances we gave the Swans as they will put them away.

I would surprise Southampton and play Diouf up top and drop Crouch. With Moses and Arnie/Walter on the other flank we can do them on the break for sure.
Diouf out wide doesnt really work and Crouch doesnt offer as much away from home other than holding the ball up.

Diouf on his own up front hasn't really worked either though and some of Crouch's very best performances have been away from home this season.
Maybe Diouf could play just behind Crouch as at Man City?

Yep I'd have Diouf in the middle with Walters and Moses outside him. Crouchie on the bench.

Can see a dicking on the cards. We were lucky last week, Swansea missed countless chances in the first half. Southampton will create a lot and will put a few away
Southampton 3 - 0 Stoke

Similar game plan to the man city game for me(welcome back sjw) give them plenty of the ball but dont give them any gaps to exploit, then when sjw tires either at ht or later introduce our wild card? And deservedly take all three points, leaving koeman lamenting the fact they have lost to a smaller team.(so dont forget to remind him weds night)

I can't fathom why anyone would drop Crouch at the moment.
I fancy us to get something today. After The Lord Mayor's Show for Soton.
