At least he's got a house in Cyprus out of it.

Not Cyprus, the FA have now got time to find away to block any attempt of him coming in through an loophole. Club wanted it to be all hush hush so when we did sign him they had no time to find a reason why not If that is the case then Agudelo has shot himself in the foot by agreeing to a trial at Wolves and putting himself in the media. If he had done nothing who would have known all this was going on behind the scenes? Now Wolves don't want him and the cats out of the bag getting a deal done now must be more difficult anyway. More whoever divulged the fact he was there, all the reports originated from America, so it seems his American agents have let slip

You might be right. But why would the Cypriot authorities be concerned at any controversy regarding the passport application. They (Cyprus) have a policy of granting passports to people who put a certain level of investment into their country. Why would they be concerned as to the underlying reasons why the applicant wanted the passport? You'd imagine that the Cypriots are well aware that a sudden upsurge in people from around the world buying expensive property won't be entirely because these people have suddenly decided that a Cypriot holiday pad is what they have dreamed of for years. Not Cyprus, the FA have now got time to find away to block any attempt of him coming in through an loophole. Club wanted it to be all hush hush so when we did sign him they had no time to find a reason why not I'm no expert on immigration law but as I understand it UNDER CURRENT LEGISLATION there is no provision to refuse admission to anyone holding an EU passport - unless (I think) they have a serious criminal record - and even then we appear to let released murderers in! Perhaps someone who does know about immigration law could confirm this. That's the whole problem the Conservative party are getting their knickers in a twist about at the moment. For non EU passport holders, the UK can set the bar for admission of immigrants as high as they like (other than for asylum seekers) but for EU passport holders they can't - they have to abide by EU law relating to freedom of movement until/unless they can negotiate some concessions - or until they leave the EU - and those options are months/years away. Having said all that, I can quite understand why the club would want to keep it under wraps - but I suspect that might be more because they don't want him "poached" by another club if when he gets his passport than that they are worried about alerting the government. Fingers crossed that we get him anyway.

It seems odd to have a 'behind closed doors' friendly then blab the fact to the media. If we still want him after all this and he signs the media will be all over it painting us to be unethical.

The MLS sites released info prior to any comments from Jackett, judging by his comments he seemed to be unsure what to say, as if he was sure it was a secret and had no idea how they knew. If it all goes through the media will have a field day, but what's new with Stoke one rule of one another for us

This could be one thing we actually have invented, they'd have a field day.

Based on my limited exposure to the games he played in he's not good enough to be close to a first team place.
