Littlewoods when the Pools were more important than th'Lottery was where Everton got the cash from. And then catalogues, they were the biggest hitters cash-wise for a while. But nowadays they'd need to build a new stadium first for Ryan to play in. The Moores family were Liverpool owners mate Also the Littlewoods pools and shopping empires are 2 different companies and not connected aren't they ? They aren't connected anymore but they once were.

Stoke don't need the cash. MH cannot possibly want to sell his Club Captain, who is the first name on the team sheet every week. If Stoke can continue improving of course Ryan will get more attention. It is should be obvious to anyone that the reason he has not made recent England squads is because the Manager was not impressed when he was last selected, and not because he plays for Stoke, or else how did he get selected in the first place. He won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. Ryan was given 18 minutes for England. It should be obvious to anyone that based on his performances he should be in the England team. Do you really believe that if he played for Arsenal. .Chelsea. .Man U/City etc etc he wouldn't be in the England team? So how did he get selected for the Squad in the first place. He was playing for Stoke then I believe. Compared to the alternatives England have, you only have to look at how the defence screwed up in the World cup, he should be walking into that squad, and I am sure all Stokie's believe that. Problem is the current management must have judged him based on what they saw in training as well as the 18 minutes on the pitch. Young English players playing for a top four side are always going to get preferential treatment. I wouldn't class Jagielka as young, or from a top four side either, so he must have something the management see that I don't, trouble is they pick the squads. the pitch, he was a few days training with the Squad, so I can only conclude our esteemed England Manager and his staff did not like what they saw

BBC Sport - Juliette Ferrington re: Shawcross to Everton?
"Ryan Shawcross to Everton more agent chat than club talk. Everton not interested and there's no way Stoke would sell him on deadline day."
No news really but comforting, nevertheless.
