Hahahaha I never thought if write that!!!
Hat trick within 30 minutes from Jerome who was obviously head and shoulders above the rest even with his ability to not have a clue what to do one on one with a defender. All 3 goals were taken very well and one touch finishes but I have to feel for the lad with such a fall from grace. When I asked him why he wasn't in Germany with the lads he answered "the gaffer wanted me to stay behind and train alone" which is strange considering ness, shotts and palacios got to go which I pointed out to him and he just laughed. He knows he's not wanted but showed a cracking attitude for 45 mins tonight against opposition who had no clue how to handle the lad. Went off at half time and couldn't go home when he wanted just after half time as Gordon Banks blocked his Bentley in on the car park Hahahaha to his frustration he had to stand and watch and wait for Sir Gordon to leave when he was ready. When he did leave he got the ball smacked at his car by a Congleton player for good measure.
A cracking night which ended With a stoke 4-0 win with some great stoke legends all there in attendance. Stoke young lads knocked it round very nicely and that Peter Skapetis looks a player also, albeit against a weak opposition but his touch looked great.

That is really baffling - unless they've had words. If you ranked the squad in terms of value to the cause, he'd be ahead of at least a couple out there. But presumably Hughes has his reasons. Not that I'm going to lose much sleep defending a guy who is on £1m+-a-year, can't really take us forward, and will land on his feet regardless but it is a bit odd.

No probs, it wasn't 'youth' v 'U21's' I was questioning more what was Jerome doing playing either way? A fixed number of over age players allowed or just special dispensation for Jerome I guess !

It was embarrassing for Jerome, playing tonight was a bit of an insult. Obviously he was miles ahead in terms of class, too easy for him.
Hard to judge the young lads to much as Congleton were poor but they did play well.

Which for the 3rd and final time raises the question what the FECK was Jerome doing playing then Ha, I thought the same last season when Shea had a couple of run outs for the U21's and he was 23(?). I dunno mate. It's either, nobody's checking birth certificates, or "U21's" is the modern name for The Reserves, or it was only a friendly, or there's some technical dispensation to allow over 21's to play for the under 21's, or nobody at the FA really gives a shit. Either way Jerome should be in Germany.

Even in England U21's aren't they allowed to play 2 players who are older?
I'm sure Milner was playing for them when he 23/24?
Or am I imagining it?

God only knows how Cameron Jerome has fooled people into thinking he's a premier league footballer, do i feel sorry for him? not one bit, he's had his time in the sun and conned a premier league living for a number of years along the way, he's got a bad attitude too hence why he's playing with the under 21's.
Good riddance when he does finally go, but i think it will be hard to shift him.

But just to add another thought, surely if Hughes wants to offload him why he he devalue Jerome's stock in such a way as to leave him behind? Is he that disruptive? ??
