Unless he knew the score before he signed on the dotted line, Koeman should resign. The rug is being pulled from under his feet big time.
They won't be able to get into the board room for all that cash.

Read somewhere LFC are sniffing on Rodriguez, after the Remy deal fell through and Inter Milan after Osvaldo.
At this rate, their famed Academy better have some quality left or it's a relegation battle...
It's looking extremely dire. Can't believe they didn't put up a proper fight to hold onto their best players, but I sense the board can't be arsed...

It's a shame, I enjoyed watching them last year and thought we did well to get a draw down there. But at this rate, they could be struggling and I think two of three relegation spots are taken up with them and Villa

If they keep on selling, they could become the richest club in the Championship.

There is a lot of work to do for Koeman, and not much time to do it.

You can't help but think this could be us in a few years time. I am sure Markus Liebherr never envisaged this happening when he left the club in his daughters hands, basically tearing his legacy to pieces to the highest bidder.
As much as Peter is prepping his son to take the reigns when the old man is gone who knows what will happen.

I don't mind Southampton, long hot summer, red and white, Bobby Stokes. Mick Channon seems an affable chap, and I always liked Matt Le Tissier. Surely the Academy will suffer. They're poised to overtake West Ham, Aston Villa, West Brom and Swansea in the 'Basket Case' table. If Koeman wasn't aware of this slash and burn squad policy it doesn't bode well. It wouldn't have been so traumatic to sell a couple, but this madness is sending out the wrong vibes. He's got a fair job on his hands, using the Academy and cheap players he may have spotted abroad to replace key man. And motivate those still standing in a fortnight. With Chambers leaving it seems like they're stripping out the second tier too. I'm usually quite glad when I sniff trouble for a rival but a failing Southampton {again} would be bad for the English game I don't feel that smug about this.

I don't think they'll get relegated at all, but I don't think they'll be the same media darlings they once were. First game of the season for them is Liverpool if they win it would be an absolute pisser!

MirrorHard not to have a bit of sympathy with this view in the Mirror. It's easy to laugh at them but could they have done anything differently? Are you going to deny Lambert that move at 32? Are you going to turn down £31m for Shaw with 2 of the richest clubs in the world in for him, turning his head and offering him a 500% wage increase? Are you going to say no to £25m for Lallana when he makes it clear he wants to go and reportedly threatens he won't play for you again if you try and make him stay? Can you say no to £16m for a young right-back when his head's been turned by Wenger? Or turn down £20m for Lovren, and a near £10m profit inside a year, when he's starting to kick up a big fuss to force it? And then once you've reached that point, if you get offered £30m+ for Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, what do you do if they also start making noises? It is a bit of an impossible situation when you're a provincial club punching above your weight. It doesn't look like the system allows any small clubs to have any success these days before the failsafes kick in and destroy you!

Lovren Shaw Chambers Lallana Shneiderlin Lallana Rodrigez Lambert Oswaldo (at least they hope so!) If we had lost 7-8 players from our first 11 in one window I think we all had become suecidal! Can they really stay up after this? A team need time to gel as well!

Ronald Koeman Never played in the Premiere League (played for some good teams) Never before managed a Premiere League team. Left each team he has managed in a worse state than when he joined them. Sold a good number of his best players without many replacements with three weeks to go before the season starts.
An inspired choice by someone.

I thought when they came to Stoke last year they were a decent outfit
However you cannot take that many players out and continue to be successful
Season of struggle I think...

Cheeky little bid for Wanyama? I'd much prefer Jack Cork (RIP). He seems a really good player. Last year of his contract too. It seems no offer will be refused, so it's worth testing the waters!

I reckon Liebherr is cashing out. There were rumours last year she was trying to sell but the offers were too low. So shes taking every penny out before selling a 'premier league club' this coming season. Its a shame heirs and heiresses are often such fucking idiots.

The amount they are getting I'm not surprised they aren't fighting it, some ridiculous prices, they'll soon have enough to wipe their debt and have a decent amount to spend on a new team.
