I'd like to welcome the OP, not only because he is new to the board, but also because he clearly understands the difference between loose and lose which several of our veterans have never been able to grasp.

I've loosely followed EPL for years and then last summer I decided to find a team to support. I had no interest in supporting a front runner who bought titles. The club had to be known for a physical style and passionate, borderline crazy, supporters. Searching the internet Stoke City kept coming up. I began to research the club and watch videos of supporters and some old games. I was apprehensive with a new manager taking the helm and uncertain how the style would change, but watching videos of supporters singing, "Delilah" sold me. When I found that my local club, Orlando City Lions, had some deep connections with Stoke City it just seemed destined to be and thus every Saturday and some Sundays last season was spent watching Stoke City matches on my laptop. connections with Orlando City: Phil Rawlins, former Stoke Owner and current Orlando City President ( Mr Rawlins has taken OCSC from a third tier US side to a MLS side in a few shirt years) Adrian Heath Manager, former Stoke Player Son of former Manager Anthony Pulis plays for Orlando City Both often use 4-2-3-1 formation Welcome, love Florida, I live local to Stoke, a little town called Kidsgrove about 10 miles north of Stoke, no doubt this will evoke other Stokies to slag off Kidsgrove but I have spent my life here and survived thus far! Once again welcome to all U S of A followers. Nowt wrong with Kidsgrove mate glorious little place when the sun shines!

You Florida potters have probably thought about it but if not, why not start up a Florida Potters SUpporters Club...? Then you can get together and do whatever you do over there, - 'ho downs' 'drive by shootings' smuggle mexicans across the border etc etc etc.... Only joking chaps - strap yerselves in - its gonna be a helluva ride !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and word of warning - mumf and sheikmomo have known to be involved in something called 'bromance' but theyre really friendly once you get used to them - HONEST!

Welcome. The general Oatcake rule book for our American newcomers such as yourself looks a little bit like this. 1: It is football, footie or nogger. Not soccer. 2: It's pitch, not field. 3: It's shirt, top or kit, not jersey. 4: mark Hughes is the manager, not the coach. 5: There is no "franchise" *shudder* 6: Do not say EPL. It's the premiership, the prem, premierleague etc. 7: Possess a complete and utter burning, seething hatred of every other team, player and fanbase we face, especially anybody connected with arsenal or man utd (who must be referred to as arse and the shit respectively.) 8: Sing nasty and spiteful songs at sed people with as much passion as humanly possible. 9: Go absolutely mental every time we score, no matter what the score or opposition. 10: refer to clubs as they rather than it. For example: "Vale lost again today. They're shit" rather than "Vale lost again today. Vale is shit." Other than that, have fun! Oh, and you can never ever leave. It's a life sentence. And read a book or something on the history, past players etc. From the 1800s to present. And don't skip the bad bits either.

This really does amaze me, when I see people becoming Stoke fans when they are from other places in the world. Being a Stoke is a massive roller coaster, generally with much more lows than highs. It can be a very painful experience, when you are a passionate about Stoke as we are. So for someone to support Stoke from else where. You must be absolutely mental!!! You'll do for us son. Welcome aboard

H along with those that seem to be convinced (and is becomnigly increasingly frequent) that "Might of" is correct
