Tough one.
If I was Waring, I think I'd be looking at trying to get a permanent deal lower down the leagues and making a permanent home somewhere where I'd be playing games. He's 21 this year and, let's face it, he's unlikely to be good enough to really make it here in the short-term

Any news Bayern, on whether the youngsters offered new deals (especially Waring) are going to accept them? I'd hate to lose Waring before he's given a chance at the next level up. No idea LP! I hope he does, I hope they've offered to take him on the summer tours and things. Bayern, I bumped into Paul Ruane at the Burnley game and he said that Waring's post injury fitness levels meant that he was not included for the Hong Kong tournament because it was being played on an artificial pitch. Had it been on turf he would probably have been included but his recovery is such that an artificial pitch would set him back. Hopefully they'll take him to the Asia Cup even if he stays on the bench.

Isn't the format for this Hong Kong tournament really weird? Think it's 15 minute games with no offsides.

7 a side too, which is just odd, how do you line up?

7 a side too, which is just odd, how do you line up? When playing 7-aside as kids, as 11-aside didn't used to kick in until under 11s (is this still the case?) we always used to line up 2-3-1. Being somebody whose played since they were four, I thought you'd know??

Waring, Watkins-Clark, Skapetis and Taylor offered new deals. Adeloye, Tomi Alabi, James Coulson, Sam Grant, Alex Parry, Robbie Ricketts-Hopkinson, Nathan Thomas, Adam Ward, Charlie Wheeler, Elliot Are the U-21's released which is no surprise. Banks, Lewis Coban, Yusuf Edwards, Liam Gyollai, Daniel Kurasik, Dominic Renee-Pringle, Johnville Roberts, Ollie Offered pro terms from the U-18's. No mention of Weston-Hayles, has he been relased? lichfieldboy ?? Yep, Charles has been released. Due to a bit of a striking injury crisis he played the last couple of games anyway and went to the Germany tournament and scored important goals. Hopefully that will have been noticed elsewhere and he will pick up a contract, he always worked his socks off and seemed a nice lad.

He looks like a player who will probably make a decent Championship striker but I don't think he's good enough for us yet. A move to the lower leagues might mean he makes it to the prem via another team at some point in the future.

7 a side too, which is just odd, how do you line up? From personal (terrible sunday league) experience: one in goal, two at the back, one in midfield, two on the wing operating as wing backs/wingers and one up front. That being said we've just been relegated so who knows

And Daniel Gyollai has signed his first pro contract today, excellent prospect!

There was a mention in the Sentinel yesterday about us going to play in tournaments in Spain and Hungary next month, anyone which ones they are?

Pretty sure I read in the sentinel that the u21s have got a pre-season friendly against Real Madrid.
Not sure if that's part of a tournament though.

The u21's was labelled a 'training camp' with games against Getafe and Real Madrid so not sure it's a tournament as such. The 3 u18's games in Hungary sounds a bit more like a tournament format.

Signing a foreign attacking midfielder the same age as Shenton would be pretty poor form wouldn't it?
Maybe that's just me getting protective over homegrown talent though.

Has anything further happened on the Moha front? from what was mentioned at the time it was looking likely that he'd be one for the U-21s for at least a season.
As for Shenton Bayern I think its sensible we don't put all our eggs in one basket in terms of having quality players within the academy setup that could be called upon if another injury crisis hit. It'll be interesting to see what progress Shenton makes this season it would nice to see him make the bench in at least the cup.

Still you don't want their pathways blocked by young foreign imports especially with even tighter rules on the horizon. I think we've signed the two Blackpool lads as well, they both started to follow Oli Roberts and Bobby Moseley on Twatter. And the two of them were at St George's Park doing medical tests the other day, which fits in with how we work I think.

Overall then with Moha and the two Blackpool lads the U-21s should be looking a little better this season.

How big is our full time, part time and free scouting network, especially in comparison to the first few years we had in the prem? Much larger, but it's also due to links with other more established continental clubs mixed in with free scouting and quite honestly our new profile.
